"I get excited for Lunaβ¦ okay?" - Dont let Sunset Shimmer hear that π
"Love that from discord. So self aware π. And yes of course! Iβd kill the world for Fluttershy as well. " - I see you're trying to achieve a harem π€£
Nice addition of the test for Starlights past, you are right.
P.S.: You failed my test... plottwist... YOU are the impostor! The answer was "Draconequus" - ππ

It was just the trailer but still will
Definitely watch it. And thank you! π
Oooh interesting power lore! Now I do wonder about it π
Trees seems to be symbolic in this show π
I get excited for Lunaβ¦ okay? πππ π
I might have sent the sweater already but if I havenβt let me know and Iβll send it! But itβs much more minimal with Lunaβs cutie mark.
I LOVED the delivery of the editing and faces here. It was perfect.
Oh my godβ¦ this is soooo cute. I might die πππ
Definitely needed to see it in action or in the background. Seems they kept it hidden for this reveal.
Love that from discord. So self aware π. And yes of course! Iβd kill the world for Fluttershy as well.
Thank you! It so well shown for her. Difficult situation for her to own and claim her past
Discord and trixie are getting along just fine π
What in the hyberbolic time chamber?! Very scary and sci fi
Yes that starlight speech was so beautiful. And the parallels was magical and beautifully used.
Flamboyant forms and I love it!
Everything starlight these episodes was amazing. Her growth is shocking and still hits even when reading this. So proud of her π
Ahh yes yes. I love the leadership comparison. Great way to view this entire experience and mindsets!
Very true. I get that since they are powerful beings all together so how can they just suddenly be captured? I know it was just to get the secondary characters to work together but yes seems like something big was left out.
Man Iβm just seeing how all 3 of those connect. And I love it even more. And I also love Luna more if that was even possible ππ
To add on to the starlight lesson, I also feel itβs a test of not being consumed by your past. Weβre always so afraid that doing the same thing or being in the same situation will end up how it always goes or we will fall back into those ways. So it also was her needing to tackle that trauma while still working through it with everyone. So beautiful to see
Loved that combo! And the villain to now learning and being apart of friendships and community is an amazing thing. Super sweet
She will return! When? I guess we will find out. (You know but I donβt π). And I love thorax being the leader of this kingdom and leading the new regime of chrysalis. I have a soft spot for changing whatβs wrong and overruling the current system.
Youβre right on discord! Glad they gave him hard restrictions so heβd be nerfed and have to work without it. And yes heβs not as omnipotent and crazy as we have been led to believe which is good?? π
Ahh so mixed bag. Yeah maybe they could have shown more action and the kidnapping but I also agree the love and words made sense here. I think it was still a success as the non focused angle was welcome!
Thank you!! I enjoyed this finale so much and it highlights many themes and growth that I personally have had and also just like seeing executed well. Thank you for the love and words! ππ
Haha yes you are! π

Welp here goes the finale to season 6... and here we go...
- Some notes/thoughts/facts: -
So you watched Sonic? Is the new movie already available in the states?
And yeah your journey is indeed unbelievable, also THANK YOU! You deserve it βΊπ
Spike: "Well, we don't all have magical horns." - why does that feel like foreshadowing? π
Twilight and Starlight are such a wholesome combination here... π₯°
DERPY! The mail-pony! π₯° crashes into the castle and was for a short time even-eyed...
https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/mlp/images/8/82/Derpy_the_mailmare_with_straightened_eyes_S6E25.png
- but its gone back after she gets to her senses. - Its also funny how they reversed this trope-joke here π
Twilight: "Oh. I usually get letters by dragon." - Ever wondered why Spike even has this unique ability? There is a theory that it was attributed to him du to the magical outburst Twilight displayed during his birth. π
Oh noooooo, the annual Sunset festival! π±
The last time she visited the village was at the end of the previous season's finale, when she returned to apologize for her past actions. Since then, her house has been replaced by a tree:

Best princess Luna is here!!! Doing what she is doing best, dream-therapy!
WOW ED, that was one hell of a surprised scream π€£π€£π€£
Oooh, Starlight and Luna are also sweet, two former villains plagued by their past...
With Luna-Jacket you meant this?

It's awesome btw. π
- Twilight Sparkle: "I understand how hard this is for you. Maybe if you took a friend along, it might make things easier. Somepony you trust who would look out for you?"
https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/mlp/images/5/5e/Twilight_Sparkle_giving_a_hinting_grin_S6E25.png
- Starlight Glimmer: "Thanks so much for doing this, Trixie. When Twilight said I should bring a friend, you were the first pony I thought of."
https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/mlp/images/4/44/Twilight_grinning_uncomfortably_at_Trixie_S6E25.png
- Trixie: "Great idea, Princess Twilight. Asking me β Starlight's best friend β to help her on this difficult journey really shows how wise a princess you have become." π€£
https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/mlp/images/8/85/Trixie_giving_Twilight_one_last_smug_look_S6E25.png
https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/mlp/images/c/c1/Twilight_masking_her_intense_annoyance_with_a_grin_S6E25.png
- OMG, the rivalry over Starlight is still on! This whole scene was just gorgeously hilarious! ππ€£
Also this cuteness will kill me someday π
- https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/mlp/images/c/cc/Trixie_cutely_picking_up_saddlebags_S6E25.png
Starlight finds herself overwhelmed when she's asked to take charge of the festival events once again, triggering feelings that come uncomfortably close to trauma. She wasn't prepared for the responsibility, and the weight of her past mistakes still lingers heavily on her mind. Struggling to forgive herself for the harm she caused, it's understandable that, in a moment of panic, she unleashed a defensive blast, sending others flying. Hopefully, no one was hurt by that moment of uncontrolled magic! π
She comes back to Ponyville and her friends behave very strange... turns out that every important figure was taken over and Chrysalis is ruling Equestria as the hidden ruler now. - This is one hell of a grim introduction into the finale...
Trixie: "[muffled, bleary] Of course, Princess Celestia... I'd love to perform for peanut butter crackers..."
- that's a interesting fetish Trixie has π - It's also a nice reference to the Equestria Girls Movie with Trixie and the vending machine.
Imagine a alarm clock out of fireworks you would fire every morning... this would piss off a lot of peoples...
For four seasons, the changelings had been scheming an intricate and grand plan for their takeoverβa plot so masterfully hidden that no one saw it coming. Yet, despite all that buildup, we never actually got to witness any of it unfold. π
Neat magical communication device...
https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/mlp/images/8/8e/Queen_Chrysalis_appears_in_the_communication_window_S6E25.png
An invisibility spell... also neat...
Thorax imitating Twilight was just too real... π
Aaand just like that, Starlight is forced to take over the leader-role, despite her fear to be in charge again.
Discord: "Well, isn't this quite the combination of secondary characters?"
- Wait... what? - he didn't just broke the 4th wall for real! π€£
Discord: "[hushed] They took Fluttershy?"
Starlight Glimmer: "Yes!"
Discord: "[menacingly] Where?"
- We never saw Discord this mad:
https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/mlp/images/e/e4/Discord_seething_with_red-eyed_rage_S6E25.png
- holy moly a storm is about to come over the changelings...
- Also... "FlutterCord" is canon now? π
Two "mere" ponies and one reformed changeling against an Army of changelings... oh, well nevermind... Discord joins the fray - what could go wrong with an almighty Draconequus and embodiment of chaos on their side? - Yeah right a magical plot-device that renders any magic useless... π
*cliffhanger*
Your conclusion to Starlight's psychological problem to take over leadership is absolutely correct and in-depth - great observation ππ
Discord: "[laughs] Oh, that's adorable. But you see, unlike you, I can do anything."
- well this didn't aged well... did it?
I love the banter between Trixie and Discord, also the overall dynamic of this group which was improving over time.
And yes the anti-magical artefact carved out of an ancient dark stone finally stops Discord's overbearing behavior in his tracks. And now he is always complaining - I am not sure if this is an improvement π
Discord: "I don't suppose you brought any throne-destroying tools along with these useless sideshow props."
Trixie: "Asks the Lord of Chaos who can't go for a walk without whining nonstop!"
Discord: "Yes, but when the throne is destroyed, I'll be able to rip the very fabric of reality to save our friends, while you'll still be a self-absorbed, below-average illusionist!"
- Oof... that was pretty rude, but while he's not wrong, his inflated ego is just as troubling. His overconfidence makes things even worse: he nearly jeopardized the entire mission by loudly announcing that he was there for Fluttershy...
So Thorax didn't need to feed/steal on love anymore after making some friends? Interesting...
Starlight Glimmer: "Do you have any of your smoke bombs?"
Trixie: "Are you kidding?"
- Yeah what is Trixie without her smoke-bombs? - Also, it was a neat diversion tactic.
Discord: "Normally, I'm the most distracting thing I can think of, but without magic..."
Starlight Glimmer: "You shouldn't underestimate yourself."
- This is a sentence I would never thought to hear about in regards to Discord... π
Wow this is frightening...
https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/mlp/images/c/c2/Discord_discovers_a_lot_of_Fluttershys_S6E26.png
- Sweet Celestia... that's where I would go mad...this is torture
https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/mlp/images/c/c4/Discord_heavily_doubting_himself_S6E26.png
- yeah Discord... I feel you π¨
Starlight Glimmer: "Trixie, you can't! I won't know what to do! We've already lost Discord; I can't lose you too! Without magic, Iβ"
Trixie: "Starlight. You got us this far with just my illusions and Discord's annoying personality. You don't need magic to figure out what to do next. I know you're afraid to be in charge, but you are really good at it! Listen to your best friend."
- Nice callback and speech by Trixie, she is a good friend if needed to be.
She also sacrificed herself...
Thats absolutely horrifying... being trapped half awake in these things glibbery cocoons...
https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/mlp/images/5/5d/Rarity%2C_Fluttershy%2C_AJ%2C_and_Twilight_trapped_in_cocoons_S6E26.png
This hecking CREEPY ENTRANCE by Chrysalis... wth...
https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/mlp/images/5/52/Queen_Chrysalis_appears_from_behind_cocoons_S6E26.png
In this climactic moment Starlight Glimmer finally comes face to face with Queen Chrysalis. The situation looks grim, with Chrysalis seemingly holding all the power. But then, in a dramatic twist, it's revealed that the Starlight before the Queen is not Starlight at all - it's Thorax in disguise! His clever deception gives Starlight some precious to attempt to destroy the throne. Unfortunately, without magic or any tools at her disposal, the task proves to be impossible. - at least you tried Starlight, at least you tried...
https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/mlp/images/a/af/Starlight_Glimmer_trying_to_break_the_throne_S6E26.png
- Where is Maud Pie if you need her? This could have been a breeze π
Starlight Glimmer: "Exactly! Thorax left the hive and made a friend. He shared love, and now he doesn't need to feed. You don't have to live your lives starving all the time!" - This is an enticing offer for any changeling...
Starlight Glimmer: "I know what it's like to lead by fear and intimidation! And I know what it's like to want everypony to do what you say! But I was wrong. A real leader doesn't force her subjects to deny who they are! She celebrates what makes them unique and listens when one of them finds a better way!"
- Wow, what a great speech! Starlight reflects on her experience offering Chrysalis a chance at redemption and a better path to leadership. This episode really shows Starlight's impressive growth! I love how they tied her past struggles to Chrysalis' rule - it makes for such strong parallels. The contrast between Starlight's new perspective and Queen Chrysalis' oppressive approach, draining every last bit of love from Thorax to assert her dominance, was portrayed so well.
Starlight Glimmer: "Then don't! Sharing love is what made you different to begin with! You should share yours with Chrysalis! Give her all of it!" π
- And Thorax evolves to pastel-Thorax and is now the new hive leader! He discovered the "metamorphosis" of bug-ponies...
https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/mlp/images/7/7e/Thorax_happy_with_his_new_form_S6E26.png
https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/mlp/images/c/c5/Changelings%27_new_forms_revealed_S6E26.png
It wouldn't be a real finale without any explosion... would it?
https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/mlp/images/5/5e/Top_spire_of_the_changeling_hive_explodes_S6E26.png
https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/mlp/images/b/b4/Discord_and_Fluttershy_sharing_a_warm_hug_S6E26.png
- There it is, FlutterCord! its definitely a thing! - Adorable!
- Thats one angry group... i dont think anyone wants to mess with them...
https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/mlp/images/1/16/Starlight_Glimmer_in_front_of_angered_ponies_and_changelings_S6E26.png
https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/mlp/images/8/88/Ponies%2C_changelings%2C_Spike%2C_and_Discord_opposing_Chrysalis_S6E26.png
Starlight Glimmer: "When Twilight and her friends defeated me, I chose to run away and seek revenge! You don't have to! You can be the leader your subjects deserve."
- She is giving Chrysalis a chance at redemption... by again sharing her experience...
Queen Chrysalis: "There is no revenge you could ever conceive of that will come close to what I will exact upon you one day, Starlight Glimmer!"
- No, she just doesn't learn - revenge it is... so what do you think: will she come back in the future..?
Its nice that you like their designs! - Not everyone was fond of it...
And we come again around back to Ourtown to the Sunset festival to celebrate the defeat of Chrysalis...
Imagine, you are living in a small town at the outskirts of Equestria, doing a little festival and suddenly so many high-horse personalities are visiting π
Double Diamond: "You left in such a hurry before, we kinda thought you didn't wanna come."
Starlight Glimmer: "Yeah... I guess after the way I used my magic on all of you, I wasn't sure I was somepony who should even be in charge of a baking contest. I was afraid I might go back to being the pony I used to be. But I realize that sometimes you don't have a choice. You have to step up. And I have changed! I can handle it. Whether that means saving Equestria or helping friends out with the Sunset Festival."
- This is a great reflection about just how much she learned since the premiere and since the beginning of this finale... It was great!
Its also nice to see that Discord and Trixie are getting along now. π
Trixie: "Ha! When pigs fly!" - Oh Trixie... you should have known better! π€£π€£

The Season 6 finale of My Little Pony was both unexpected and refreshing, offering a thrilling and unconventional storyline without the usual focus on the Mane Six. Instead, it centered around secondary characters like Starlight Glimmer, Trixie, Thorax, and Discord - who, despite their previous roles as villains, become the heroes in a surprising turn of events.
The episode begins with Starlight Glimmer returning to her old village for the Sunset Festival, where she is conflicted about being asked to lead again. Her discomfort with this role leads her to leave abruptly and return to Ponyville, where she notices her friends acting strangely. These odd behaviors, combined with a series of unsettling dreams, prompt Princess Luna to reach out to Starlight through one of her dreams, delivering a chilling warning: The changelings have returned. This revelation completely changes the course of the episode, revealing the true danger lurking beneath the surface.
The opening scenes, initially seeming like a diversion from the main plot at that point, set the stage for a deeper exploration of leadership, which becomes a central theme throughout the finale. Starlight's insecurities about leading are contrasted with Chrysalis's tyrannical approach, highlighting two very different perspectives on leadership.
The return of Queen Chrysalis as the main villain was a shocking twist, as she seeks revenge by kidnapping key figures in Equestria, including the Royal Family, the Mane 6, and Spike. While it's not explicitly shown how Chrysalis captured them, it's implied that she struck when their guard was down, likely while they were asleep or something like that... This absence of a clear explanation left me a bit frustrated, but the dark turn of these events raised the stakes in an unexpected way.
With Equestria's most powerful protectors captured, Starlight finds herself in the role of an unlikely leader. She teams up with Trixie, Discord, and Thorax to take on Chrysalis in a mission fraught with challenges, including the lack of their usual magical abilities. Chrysalis' throne suppresses all magic except for changeling magic, making their task even more difficult. Discord's overzealous teleportation leaves them unprepared, without equipment to destroy the throne, forcing the group to rely on stealth and their wits rather than brute force or spells.
As the episode progresses, the unusual team's bond is tested through a series of hardships, culminating in a climactic confrontation between Starlight and Chrysalis. This final showdown explores their contrasting views on leadership, with Starlight suggesting that giving love is more powerful than stealing it. Thorax, in a pivotal moment, demonstrates the transformative power of sharing love, triggering a dramatic metamorphosis in the changelings, who change into more colorful and friendly forms. This new design for the changelings sparked controversy among fans, but it symbolized their redemption.
Despite this victory, Chrysalis refuses Starlight's offer of reformation, choosing instead to flee and vow revenge, setting the stage for potential future conflicts. Her refusal to change, even as her entire army transforms around her, leaves a lasting sense of unresolved tension, signaling that Chrysalis remains a formidable threat.
- Starlight Glimmer:
Starlight Glimmer faces the lingering fear that she hasn't truly changed and may revert to her old ways as a dictator. Throughout the season, her growth has been remarkable, particularly in her interactions with Twilight Sparkle, who has served not only as her mentor but also as a close friend. This dynamic has been heartwarming, and it's clear that all of the Mane 6 have embraced their roles in guiding Starlight, offering her advice and support. Despite some well meant remarks (*coug* Rainbow *cough*), it's touching to see the trust and friendship that has developed between them, despite a few bumps along the way.
Starlight's evolution mirrors that of characters like Princess Luna and even Queen Chrysalis, with whom she shares a striking parallel as former villains. Their shared experiences with leadership - both the good and the bad - create a fascinating connection between them. - Thats why her conversation with Chrysalis highlights just how far she's come. Starlight understands the dangers of leading with the wrong intentions, having once ruled her village through oppression, manipulation and control. She knows firsthand what it's like to govern with fear and to force others to conform to her vision. However, she now recognizes that true leadership is about celebrating what makes individuals unique and listening when someone offers a better way.
This finale marks a pivotal moment in Starlight's character arc, where her reformation and leadership are truly put to the test. Despite her initial hesitation to lead, stemming from her fear of falling back into her old patterns, she steps up when no one else can. By leading the unlikely team to victory, she not only proves her leadership abilities but also gains newfound confidence in herself, fully acknowledging the growth she has undergone. - Reflecting on her past, Starlight admits that she was once so consumed by her power and control that she wouldn't have trusted herself to even manage a baking contest. She feared that her old self could resurface at any moment. But through this journey, she learns an important lesson: sometimes, stepping into a leadership role is not a matter of choice but necessity. Even when she's afraid of who she used to be, Starlight realizes that growth means embracing the present and trusting herself to lead with kindness and integrity.
- Princess Luna:
Princess Luna's role as a compassionate advisor in the Season 6 finale was both fitting and powerful. The heartfelt scene between Luna and Starlight Glimmer stood out, bringing together two characters who have both wrestled with and overcome their dark pasts. Luna's advice to Starlight - to seek guidance and strength from her friends - was not only supportive, but also subtly reflected Luna's own journey. This connection hearkened back to her struggles in the episode βDo Princesses Dream of Magic Sheep?β (S5E13), where Luna was weighed down by guilt over her past, symbolized by the Tantabus, a creature born from her own self-punishment that haunted her dreams. In that instance, the Mane 6 helped Luna faced her inner demons, much like Luna now encourages Starlight to rely on her friends for support. - This exchange between Luna and Starlight serves as a poignant reminder of their personal growth and redemption arcs, emphasizing the importance of community and friendship in healing. The moment beautifully tied their shared experiences together, showcasing how far both characters have come. It was truly a touching and well-executed scene.
- The changelings, their Queen, Chrysalis and Thorax:
Queen Chrysalis and the changelings play a pivotal role, expanding on the themes introduced earlier in the season, particularly in "The Times They Are A Changeling" (S6E16). This episode clarifies some of the questions raised about the nature of changelings. While Chrysalis is depicted as a power-hungry ruler, using fear and control to maintain her authority over her hive, it's revealed that her aggressive, love-stealing tactics aren't an inherent part of the changelings' nature. Instead, Chrysalis led them to believe that draining love was their only means of survival, but the finale shows that they are capable of thriving by embracing friendship and sharing love without harming others.
But, unlike many villains before her, Chrysalis refuses to reform at the end of this episode, choosing to remain in her antagonistic role. This leaves open the possibility of her return in future storylines, which sparks a lot of possibilities which lets much room for a lot of theories. One thing is for sure, driven by this defeat, she could lose her sanity over her revenge, potentially making her an even more dangerous adversary.
In contrast to that, Thorax, once a timid and uncertain changeling, undergoes a remarkable transformation in this finale. Initially, he settles in the Crystal Empire and proves that it is possible for changelings to survive without feeding on love. This breakthrough not only changes his physical appearance but also symbolizes a deeper change within him. Over time, Thorax gains confidence and challenges the longstanding belief that changelings must live as an evil, love-sucking tribe.
His growth inspires other changelings to follow a new path, one that no longer relies on stealing love from others. Thorax leads a revolution among the changelings, who undergo a complete transformation, both visually and behaviorally. They abandon their malevolent ways and embrace a more harmonious existence, with Thorax ultimately becoming their leader. With this change, the changelings evolve into potential allies of Equestria, no longer defined by their need to prey on love, but instead by their newfound goodness.
- Trixie:
Seeing Trixie and Starlight together again was a highlight, with Trixie bringing her signature comedic flair alongside Discord. Their interactions, particularly the hilarious banter between Trixie and Discord, provided a perfect counterbalance to the episode's intense moments. This humor was seen as a crucial element in keeping the tone from becoming too grim. Additionally, the lingering "rivalry" between Trixie and Twilight over Starlight was both amusing and fitting, adding an extra layer of humor to the finale.
- Discord:
Discord's immense powers could have theoretically resolved the conflict with Chrysalis and her Changelings with a mere snap of his fingers. So, if Discord had been at full strength, he could have easily defeated Chrysalis and ended the conflict almost immediately. However, the episode introduces plot contrivances to prevent an overly simple resolution and ensure that the story remains engaging and dramatic. Without these narrative restrictions, Discord's presence could have overshadowed the other characters, particularly Starlight Glimmer, who is central to the episode's focus on heroism.
Interestingly, Discord's urgency to reach the hive and his subsequent actions also played a role in the situation's complexity. His haste and lack of plans, led him to confront the problem without a full understanding of the dangers, such as Chrysalis' throne, which neutralizes magic. This magical interference, along with Discord's personal concern for Fluttershy, constrained his abilities and added depth to the narrative. Rather than relying solely on his powers, Discord had to navigate the challenge with his companions in an unusual way, highlighting the episode's themes of teamwork, strategy, and character development.
Moreover, while Discord is incredibly powerful, his past defeats - such as those by the Elements of Harmony, Tirek, and his own emotional vulnerabilities - serve as a reminder that he is not omnipotent. The throne's ability to absorb magic further illustrates that Discord's powers are not absolute, raising the stakes and compelling him to depend on his allies rather than magic alone. This limited role for Discord, therefore, enriches the story by emphasizing the contributions of other characters and the importance of collaborative effort.
And just to be real for a second here, it was also fun to see a "helpless" Discord for once π
- Fan-Reception:
The reception to the season 6 finale was a mixed bag among fans. Some were disappointed by the sidelining of the Mane Six, feeling that their reduced presence lessened the episode's overall impact. There was also a divide in opinions regarding the action scenes; while some viewers wanted more epic battles and explanations for characters like Twilight being easily captured, others appreciated the episode's focus on character dynamics and suspense over high-octane action.
The redesigned Changelings drew criticism from some fans, who found them less appealing compared to their previous forms or other designs from the series, such as the Rainbow Power or Twilight's Castle. Though initially taken aback by the new look, I eventually found the designs fitting. Given that Changelings are essentially bugs, their new forms are interesting and colorful, similar to their real-life counterparts. These also offer a wide variety of appearances, from the ugly to the intriguing.
On a more positive note, the idea of a group of unlikely heroes, reminiscent of the Suicide Squad, was well-received. The unconventional team dynamic struck a chord with many viewers. However, some fans felt the ending was rushed and relied too heavily on a Deus Ex Machina, with the easy destruction of the throne being a particular point of contention. Despite this, I personally enjoyed the dramatic and somewhat typical ending approach, as it aligns with the series' penchant for grand, albeit sometimes simplistic, resolutions.
- Conclusion:
This ends this Season 6 finale which had its share of issues, but it also offered a memorable conclusion to the season. Some aspects of the finale could have been handled better. For instance, the ease with which the Royal Family was captured was somewhat frustrating, especially considering the Royal Guard's previous encounters with threats. Sadly, the capture itself was never shown, though this added to the element of surprise. Additionally, the episode lacked musical numbers, which was a letdown for many fans. The ending felt a bit rushed, and while Spike and Sunburst might have added interesting dynamics as secondary characters, their absence was likely a deliberate choice to prioritize the former villain-aspect.
However, the finale excelled in several ways. It made bold choices by placing secondary characters in the spotlight and delivering an unpredictable story rich in character development. The absence of the Mane Six allowed for a focus on leadership and the transformation of the changelings, which contributed to a thought-provoking and unique conclusion to the season. Though not as epic as previous finales, it was suspenseful, exciting, and surprisingly darker.
The return of Chrysalis and her changelings was a notable highlight, and Luna's dream therapy added an engaging layer to the narrative. The evolving relationships between Luna, Starlight Glimmer, and Chrysalis, shaped by their past experiences, were compelling. Starlight's role in saving the day without the Mane Six was a refreshing change, showcasing her leadership.
The unexpected formation of a βsuicide squadβ of former villains rescuing Equestria was a surprising and engaging twist. The interactions and dynamics within this group were well-executed. The finale also marked the potential return of Chrysalis seeking revenge, especially against Starlight.
Overall, the finale successfully involved nearly every main and secondary character, contributing to its sense of closure for the season. Despite its minor flaws, it was a fitting end to Season 6, which had its share of highs and lows.
Also at last, its finally confirmed; FlutterCord is canonical!

Ooooooo man. This was beautiful. Creating a story like this WITHOUT the mane six was spectacular. Starlight with the growth and parallels, Trixie and discord bantering and assistance, and sorry for my language but the thorax planting the seed and leading the next era of the changelings was fucking amazing!!!! That entire group and how it played out was lined up and executed perfectly!
Yes it seemed too off and BAM! After sooooo long, chrysalis and changelings are back! What a return.
Yes it seems we are in the final act. Iβve loved my time and I canβt wait for more. Thank you for the kind words! π

Beautiful finale, this one is so amazing, itβs underrated for sure, starlights parallels to Luna and queen chrysalis is crazy I love it so much, itβs awesome how she sees herself in chrysalis because she was once a villain, and princess Luna sees herself in starlight which makes sense cause she struggles with the same things and used to be a villain, also you were right! a lot of people didnβt pick up on that they may have been changelings but once it was revealed everyone freaked out cause they wanted the changelings back and it happened! also I love the designs of the changelings the first time I saw it I was thrown off and the more I saw them I love it, also talk about a group of amazing secondary characters! starlight and trixie discord and thorax what an amazing idea for a finale, definitely one of my favorites as well, and I canβt believe we only have 3 more seasons to go! I also get emotional when these finales happen, this journey has been so amazing Iβm happy to support you, and canβt wait for season 7! Itβs very exciting! your reactions are the best!
