Supernatural | 4x18 Cut REACTION!!

Supernatural | 4x18 Cut REACTION!!

Gotta say, one of my most favorite episodes of the show, which is saying something when it comes to Supernatural. The idea of the Supernatural book series is something that's hard to make work, but they did it really well. I love the fact that Chuck's writing the story as it's happening, and he has no clue. The talk Chuck had with Sam about the demon blood was good. Cas coming in with the badass entrances, as always, telling them that Chuck is a prophet of the Lord, and is protected by an archangel, "the most fearsome wrath of Heaven." Honestly, the Winchester Gospels isn't such a bad name for Chuck's books. Really fits the whole story. That whole Sam & Lilith scene was disgusting, in the best and worst ways possible. Damn, kinda wish we saw the archangel, but I guess the outside chaos was enough, because even Lilith was too afraid, rightfully so. Nice to see Zachariah back. What he's doing to Chuck is a little fucked up, but what can he do? He's a literal angel. It's terrifying. Nice reaction, guys! Can't wait for the next! 💯🔥

Smith and Wesson was supposed to be a play on their real last name - WINCHESTER - which is another firearm company. Carver Edlund = Jeremy Carver and Ben Edlund...both are writers for the show. But you're correct, it's Kripke. Also - Nathan, go ahead and poke fun. Kripke himself joked that SPN was "The epic love story of Sam and Dean" because they literally take entire plots, scripts and conversations that a couple would have or act out and write it for Sam and Dean. It's a little more nuanced than that, but y'all are young...everything is very literal at your age. At least that's how I remember it. LMAO. Either way, I haven't heard y'all comment or have a discussion on those implications, so I'm just guessing they get missed. But in the show, every time someone assumes they're a couple or makes a sarcastic comment about them being "married" - usually when they're fighting (like Bobby did in the siren episode) it's a nod to how they're writing Sam and Dean. Yes...they're brothers but ridiculously and strangely closer than any two normal family members could be. Like uncomfortably close. And that's the point - they are written that way to explore that dynamic. Some interpret it in a physical way, where as most don't but side eye the strangeness of it all. The show was just giving a wink and a nod to the shippers by acknowledging it...not really judging either way. "They do know Sam and Dean are BROTHERS, right...??" is the thing everyone says about the people who ship that. It's become a running joke - kind of like, "What about Cass or Misha" has become part of every conversation that has nothing to do with Cass or Misha. SPN fandom funnies that no one takes seriously.
