Yeah perhaps the 5 minute per episode even with them being bunched up, can feel a bit uncomfortable and fast. It feels like sometimes they can go longer or messages get finished too quickly. Interesting a new way to story tell I must say. I actually don’t mind it but maybe it’s because I’m use to it. It’s kind of endearing and its own thing which I respect. I can’t explain why but maybe it’s because it feels comfortable

2025-01-25 06:06:51 +0000 UTCI enjoy tyt it’s really fun, I do recommend watching them both too kinda get more context and good moments, pipp and zipp are my favorite in tyt and I also love Izzy and sunny, I enjoy the all also I do agree right now hitch is probably my least favorite I liked him better in the movie, but I really think you’ll enjoy g5 if you like it already you’ll enjoy it!

I enjoy how "Tell Your Tale" takes a more casual and fun approach to G5. However, I dislike the fast-paced storytelling that results from its 5-minute timeframe, as it doesn't give some story topics enough time to breathe. Another drawback is the 2D animation style in my opinion: It mimics the styles of many popular cartoons of that era, which often share nearly identical designs. This style, commonly called "CalArts", is favored because it's easy and cheap to produce. It doesn't suit MLP, especially when applied to animalistic bodies/heads. It also feels overly restrictive in terms of expression and animation - qualities that made G4 stand out. And no they didn't use the same voice actors as the movie. But that's understandable and the replacements still do a decent job. Overall, "Tell Your Tale" remains a fun series with its own merits, including some great music.

But good to know that both are vital and it’s not just a spin off/web series. I guess I’ll find out when I watch chapter 1 but is that the same voice actors as TYT or the original movie?

Now granted, I don't know WHY they made it two different shows, and I definitely don't think it was a good idea. But that's what they did and it serves nothing to only watch one. No, the voice cast is not the same as the movie, but the new voice actors do fine; though it does take Izzy's a bit to warm up I think.
