There were a lot of ideas submitted in it, and making a new rig of two other characters would have not been doable in the time provided. If they are voted on, I'd be happy to do it but as of now I am not.

2019-09-01 06:43:44 +0000 UTCJust barely made it for August, but just in time for my Birthday so thank you. :) Also regarding what you said about giving people an extra vote, not sure if you are aware but the September Character Poll is allowing multiple choices. I tried to change my vote and found I could vote for a 2nd character. Not sure if people realize this, could break the stalemate? Then again you could always choose which you think would make for a more interesting animation? :)
