Discussion: S01 E05 Destiny

Pardon my language but Holy Fuck! Wow, we revisit and are back in the FARMLAND!! The first half of the episode is a set up as we slowly get introduced to this dystopian world and the goal of finding the crown so Simon can turn into ice king. But once we are revealed about Finn’s kids, and see this post Ice Finn, it all connects and becomes incredible. He’s more stern, badass, and it’s such a contrast as to where we see Finn now as he’s more getting into Martin mode. Then I know we have seen Destiny before but I can’t put my finger on where we saw them but they look familiar. They are still getting chased and then there’s a final showdown at the crater. There are no remnants of the crown there until we get Jay’s relationship with little Destiny as she holds the piece that can help them portal to another dimension with the crown. The god officer is there and fights Finn in an epic showdown which has him potentially dead as F&C, Simon, and the officer are transported elsewhere. The second half of this episode is incredible and it still surprises me how vast and explorative this world can go. Amazing stuff and a great mid season finale! 8.5-9/10. Enjoying this more than I expected. Just incredible quality and pacing with every episode
