Discussion: S01 E07 The Star

The fact I’m limiting myself to one episode is both a curse and a blessing. Another phenomenal episode that has them teleport to a verse where Simon and Marceline never interacted since he died. This lead into a series of events that had the Vampire’s take over and where the Vampire King obtains the crown and has taken on the father role for Marceline who is vile and cutthroat. Great outfits as well. Love this development so much and when I connected this point together, it’s one of the best reaction moments I’ve had.

Continuing with this new world we meet a butch and army Bonnie with HW and Martin as her crew. They are unsuccessful and use their possibly final verse pop as PB and Marci fight to death which is horribly to see as we know the way their relationship is. Also some minor developments with Prismo, the god officer, and the cosmic owl which we don’t know much of.

Then to beautifully and subtly make for the warm and slice of life aspects, Gary and Marshall spend more time together as Marshall faces the pressures of his mom and the family business. I’m a broken record but the contrasts and parallels used to both verses is so fantastic and well done.

It pains me that I must not watch another one today but that only makes me want to be alive for tomorrow! This also may be the best ep in terms of epicness and grandiose ness.. I’m making up words 😂
