I need that shirt 😂. It was an amazing intro! I agree that this didn’t even feel like a holiday episode. And the way they made her an outcast and trying to fit into modern times was so fun and honest. Love the two way switches and personality. And her design is just lovely. Crazy how any of these 5eps could be considered my favorite or best. Crazy strong start!

2024-04-08 00:05:08 +0000 UTCPrincess Luna is awesome, my favorite princess, I have a shirt that says princess Luna is best princess, loved her introduction in this episode, and nightmare night is a cool take on Halloween personally my favorite holiday, I liked how she was conflicted in this episode it felt very real how she hasn’t adjusted too modern pony times and she’s still very much like how the princesses used to be and she has two sides to her cause she was locked away for so long and doesn’t understand how to fit in and be social, it was a great way to show that, also I get what you mean not wanting to watch holiday themed episodes on days that aren’t the holidays feels a little weird but I think this is a good enough one to stand on its own and bring you into the Halloween mindset for the episode.

And it’s been sooo long since we have seen her. Crazy how I’m already past 1 season 😠Hmmm bat ponies 🤔. Yes yes. Love how she knew twilights costume. Love the historical stuff so I’m excited! Wanted a proper interaction between the two 😪. Ah yes she was! Good for her! Pinkie was hilarious and cute. Rainbow dash made things so much harder She was so good! Caught me falling in love 😂

And the Princess of the night! - I love her overall design and her introduction in this episode. Also Luna got bigger since the last time we saw her, which was the pilot. Some say that after Nightmare Moon in her was defeated, she was out of magic, frail and had to recuperate. Which is also why she wasn't shown until now and surely didnt help her to get back into public-affairs which changed so much after being locked away for a 1000 years on the moon. Since her appearance in the Pilot-Episode, she was very popular. She was subject to a lot of headcanons and fanfics about all the what-ifs she had to deal until now. - Just to be introduced with a better conclusion than anyone expected. Also the arrival introduced the concept of Batponies (the guards when Luna came down), some say it was just a costume, other say it was from her personal and maybe elusive knightguard unit. This is btw. the first mentioning of "Starswirl the Bearded", a mysterious figure of the early times, which Luna seemed to know personally if you think about what she said to twilight. You should remember this name ;) As you guessed, Fluttershy isnt participating - which is no suprise - what she did instead? May we ever know? I loved Zecoras get-up and her performance as a storyteller! Especially her use of her potions to create illusions was great. Also loved her acceptance by the ponies of Ponyville and her integration into their culture. It was told that rarity was busy earlier with creating and repairing all the costumes and was just too drained to participate - this night must have been very profitable for her ^^' Pinkie Pie as chicken was hilarious :D And Rainbow Dash truly had it coming... 😡 Overall, i too loved this episode, the introduction to Luna and the message behind it. I loved your reaction and had a hunch that you would like her, since her first appearance. :)
