2024-04-15 09:18:37 +0000 UTCOne of the spike episodes i dont like the writers for always putting spike into those somehow self-harming and self-induced situations, in which he seems to be some kind of villain of the story - even though its his natural dragon greed that comes into play in this case. - But i like all the other aspects, the jokes and the references to King Kong and so on and the possible prospect of what Spike could look like as a grown dragon. And well it's not everyday you see a dragon in equestria - it seems it's not much known about them. But Zecora had the right idea - and you are right, we have already seen two dragons living in caves and hoarding a lot of stuff, it's one of the maturing dragon traits to be aware of. This maybe too explains why it didnt occur before and happens now when he got into his teenage age, which he is estimated to be 10-12 years old at this point. Some further thoughts: Twilight could have just teleported Spike behind her, that would have been much easier :D Did u see that? Pinkie Pie managed to somehow hijack Twilights teleportation spell!!! - Pinkie Pie being a mighty magical entity, confirmed! If she ever were to recognize that she can do everything she has set her mind to and use it to her advantage, it would be a force to be aware of! :D Miss Cheerilee is the teacher of the CMC's. It's funny how noone could take twilight serious about Spike running wild XD To see Pinkie Pie flabbetghasted is hilarious! XD The wonderbolts is a reference to "blue angels" - A special unit of USA's NAVY Well in MLP you could say a special unit of Equestrias Pegasus Airforce. I do think Rarity knows that Spike has a crush on her, but i think she knows, it's more like a teenage boy, having a crush toward an older person and appreciates it, but she doesn't take it as love in a sexual kind of way. The age gap is too great for that - I think i already told you, that the mane 6 are around 20-25 Years old. That ARE nice outfits :D Conclusion: I agree with you, the message about gifting instead of being gifted to is a little bit shallow... but the problem of greediness part was all over the episode and bluntly obvious to see - maybe they thought it was enough as a lession in itself. And yes these were the weaker ones, but after those first eight episodes it was somehow bound to happen. Again thank you for reacting and thank you for reading :)

2024-04-13 10:20:19 +0000 UTCPretty alright episode it has some references to King Kong with spike being huge and holding rarity in the air, the message was alright I mean it’s pretty simple giving gifts is better then getting gifts from people, but I do feel like that’s not what the episode was about, it was more about greed and to not be greedy and appreciate the gifts from friends, my favorite part was when spike was about to say I have a crush and rarity covered his mouth I think what this means is she knows how he feels about her but it’s something that could never happen because of age even though dragons age different then ponies but still spike is a baby dragon which might be at least a teen in pony years they’ve never confirmed how dragons age in the show, and rarity is like 19 or in her early 20s so it wouldn’t work but I think rarity appreciates spikes love for her and thinks it’s cute but she doesn’t like him in the same way just as a good friend basically, tbh I don’t really ship them but some fans do. Also some fans don’t like spike and don’t like his episodes this was a weaker episode but it wasn’t bad, some of the episodes get better after this one in my opinion.
