I always anticipated this type of episode but it was even better than I had imagined!
I need more tank and less Angel π’
Super nasty! And yeah that argument was intense and so ugly
Old and new ππ
Agree! Character analysis or dives are my favorite since the show does an excellent job with their personalities.
Yes yes. This is the much preferred and more satisfying way.

Fluttershy, a lovely and caring Pony, good with animals and the element of Kindness. - But with her shyness, it was only a matter of time before she became the victim of bullying by everyone else... She even got to the point where she had to admit this problem and wanted to change for the better... just to meet the minotaur Iron Will, who saw her as a moneyprinting opportunity and teached her to literally "Attack the Day" by harassing everyone she felt even slightly offended by - even to the point where she shockingly attacked her own friends who just wanted to help her. - To the point that even she knew that it was too much and had to restrain herself as "Monster" she thought she has become and to reflect about what assertiveness truly means. - Surprisingly, the epiphany even stopped Iron Will in his greedy tracks and Fluttershy learned how she can stand up for herself without changing oneself.
Some further thoughs:
The last Fluttershy-centered episode was "bird in the hoof" in season one.
The white devilish bunny, Angel is Fluttershy's first animal companion she ever had. If you remember back, he always was kinda mean to Fluttershy and wasn't already that much liked for that by everyone else in the fandom - but this episode made them outright hate him for his behaviour over a missing cherry.
Iron Will, a Minotaur, who is having a little show in a Labyrinth - you cant go more greekly-mythic (is that even a word?) :D
Attack the day... litterally, who knew she could be too assertive and rude - nasty Fluttershy it is :O
This whole New and Old conundrum is somewhat funny.
That argument between Fluttershy, Pinkie and Rarity was really nasty.
I truly love that shot at 17:57! It was perspectively well made!
That Iron will is referring to himself as Iron Will is weirdly funny
What the hell Iron Will!? ... "Iron Will's my name, training ponies is my game."
Sounds like he treats them as Pokemon XD (Futtershy LVL-UP!)
Well that was one looong conclusion and I agree with you: It was a fantastic episode - The characters of the mane six are the mainreason this show got so popular, many were able to identify themself with one of them and every time a character's traits and personalities got tested, it's like they're right there with them and rooting for them.
The problem with the dragonshy-episode was, it wasn't truly about Fluttershy. - It was about her general fear about everything which didnt give the time needed to give room into the topic of her being shy and fearful and presented a half-baked plot where she had to suddenly overcome these fears to stand up for her friends. - It was a nice episode, but just bad in terms of Fluttershys development.
It was great as always! Thank you!

Nailed it on the head. Love seeing her so different and it was also shocking.
Yes super relatable for those ppl who donβt like conflict or any of those aspects.
One of the stand out eps this season!

It was crazy seeing fluttershy so mean! this episode is one of my favorites in the season, it shows strong character development for fluttershy, she is a lot of peopleβs favorite pony because sheβs so relatable being shy and being a push over can be so hard to overcome, I struggle with this as well as being an introvert also having social anxiety so itβs hard to be assertive, great reaction, Iβm glad you enjoyed this one too. The episode was like dragon shy but done right.
