2024-05-03 08:45:05 +0000 UTCDriven by the pursue for their cutie marks the CMC with Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo try to get into newspaperbusiness - Weren't it for Diamond Tiara, the bane of the CMC, as newly promoted "Editor-in-Chief" giving them a task to give her juicy stories to publish in the "The Foal Free Press" - Originally only a school paper, it got popular townwide after a little juicy story about Snips and Snails little "Gum-pocalypse" which was written by CMC's pseudonym "Gabby Gum", a clever wordplay to prior event. They begin to go into more gossipy territory after theyr'e getting popular and aren't even afraid to shy away from lies and intruding into privacies of others. They begin to feel wrong about it, but proceed anyway due to their validation and desire to get their cutie marks at all cost and make all their victims feel horrible in that process. Rarity who at first brushes it off as some typical gossip you can get anywhere, gets her private diary leaked and figures out that her own sister betrayed her as Gabby Gums. After Rarity confronts Sweetie Belle and ridicules the CMC for exposing and spreading rumors about everyone with the most logical and insightful analogy, if they truly like making everyone else feel miserable to be their destiny - The CMC finally understand and want to quit the Newspaper, but Diamond Tiara isn't having it and blackmails them with the most embarrassing stories of themselves. - despite that the CMC's, shut out by everyone else, decide to go all out and write a last column with the most sincere and heartful apology to everyone, about being swept away by hype and their desire for their cutie marks. In this episode, the CMC are portrayed as being desperate to achieve their desired goal, even if it means doing something they know is wrong. The narrative highlights the consequences of such actions, illustrating how they can result in misery and backfire, ultimately destroying their original purpose. It also delves into the dangers of the press, portraying how the quest for a better story can lead journalists to invade personal boundaries and delve into areas they shouldn't. Luckily it served as a lesson for the CMC, emphasizing the importance of setting boundaries and being mindful of what they truly want their cutie marks to represent. Another thing, we see Diamond Tiara as "Editor-in-Chief" who is slowly advancing from your typical sassy school-bully to an outright devilish Blackmailing villain of the CMC's... Some further notes/thoughts/facts: 4:15 what did you mean? That what did happen? 5:50 Her design is nice, yes. - Her personality is the worst :o The Snips and Snails column is build on sassy and juicy jokes - some do really like them. Some gossip/drama can be ok, but sometimes it just crosses the line Sweetie Belles voicecracks are the cutest :D "The Great and Powerful Trixie's Secrets Revealed!" interesting, there is no way this will cause problems later on, or would it... 👀 So its official RD is afraid of Hooficures (i love these Ponyisms) and got a Dardevil License XD Big Macintosh with Smarty Pants from "Lesson Zero" 💙 Rarities "I will destroy her!" is rightful - Why did Sweetie Belle leaked Rarities most private infos of her diary? ITS YOUR SISTER YOU DUMMY! :o The Whole scene with Rarity finding out about Sweetie Belles connection to Gabby Gun is funny as hell: "My sister would never associate with anyone as beastly as Gabby Gums! I resent you even suggesting such a thing, Twilight! Why, she's the most innocent, most lovely–" sceneswitch "–most evil pony in Equestria! How could my own sister steal my private diary? How could my own sister be... Gabby Gums?" Truer words were never spoken Rarity. - I love her being the voice of reason while she defended them before the whole time. Well Photos with private persons would be protected by the "right of own picture" in Europe and cant normally used in public news unless you allow it or participated in public events - i would like to know if there is something similar where you live? The force field is so classic twilight and to flip AJ´s and Big Macs lines here is a nice touch :D - Thanks for your reaction 💙
