Well, i like this episode but can understand why "MMMMystery on the friendship express" is - as you said - one of the less interesting episodes in Season 2. But if you blend out the typical "Murder Mystery" Trope and focus on some other aspects like all the references and the different settings and aesthetics of Pinkies explanations etc. it still is a watchworthy episode in my opinion. Some further notes/thoughts/facts: I too dont know why they had to do it this complicated - maybe just for comedic effect ^^' The whole transportation escalation just to run into the problem how to even get it into the traincart is hilarious XD Marzipan Mascarpone Meringue Madness is truly a beauty of pure madness and sugar - you can bet that someone baked it. Haha! That "yay" is infectious XD Pinkie has a way with her words to make sth. too palatable: "the Cakes' Marzipan Mascarpone Meringue Madness. All that rich creamy goodness of the marzipan, combined with the tart tanginess of the mascarpone, blended perfectly with the smooth, silky sweetness of the meringue. That's why I call the Marzipan Mascarpone Meringue Madness the "MMMM"." - Gustave le Grand (VA Mark Oliver) - Donut Joe (yes it is the one from the Gallopin Gala His VA is Vincent Tong, who voices varous Character throughout MLP) - Mulia Mild (VA Jan Rabson) Gustave le Grand is after Gilda the second griffin appearing in the series. What's with Donut Joes villainous laugh? XD Yeah normally it would get stale...well... i have an assumption as to why it doesn't necessarily have to be just cartoon logic. (hint: 🙌Magic🙌) This is where the reference to "Murder on the Orient Express" begins... I love them playing around with different settings and aesthetics in Pinkies first explanations! But what's with pinkies obsession over slicing the cake while it was bitten!? 8:44 I see someone very SUS! standing between Gustav and Miulia... but if you think about it - the whole time it was plain in sight - but noone would have predicted Pinkies friends to be the ones doing it. The way with most earlier detective stories is, it getting predictable very fast. - There are exceptions ofc. Literally retracing Pinkies steps... wonder how long that took. 19:00 What exactly do you mean here? Considering Pinkies "sweet tooth" (sugar-addiction!) it's a miracle she could hold it in this long. XD - Yeah the lession about "jumping to conclusions" isn't much here and i get the feeling this episode was just for the sake of putting said trope to display... (well kids would have never heard of it before) But still, a great reaction. Thank you!💙
