Definitely could have been a much deeper episode but as you said it does capture the problem solving of children.
Yeah it seems don’t snitch has always been a natural thing. Pretty lame. “I killed and sexually assaulted someone. Don’t snitch”. Like noo.. I NEED TO 😂😂
Very very triggering
It was a banger for sure
Yeah exposing this way wouldn’t work since they all understand that.
I’m soooo excited for the Manhattan branch potential! Especially knowing how big and relatable the CMC can be!
You’re right about them not only having the cutie mark journey but just being kids. I kind of forgot that 😂
This all gets solved if they just go to the adults 🤣

"One Bad apple" is a difficult episode.
Were introduced to Babs Seed, who was bullied for having a "blank flank" back in her hometown Manehattan and wanted to get a change of scenery. Unfortunately to prevent that from happening again in Ponyville, she joins Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon to bully the Cutie Mark Crusaders. Which again leads to a revenge plot against Babs Seed.
- Some further notes/thoughts/facts: -
The thinking spot is great! I wish i had one!
Diamon Tiara and Silver spoon again..!
Welcome to the dark side young pony...
How come it is a no-go to snitch in those situations? Is that truly a cultural thing?
Yeah i totally understand that you are triggered...
How come Sweetie Belle is the one with the good idea this time? :D
The "Babs Seed Song" is a total banger, it's very pop-musicaly and could be played in any radio.
As the series got longer the voices of the cmc changes along, because the Voice Actors grew with them:
Michelle Creber (Applebloom's VA/Singer and Sweetie Belle's Singer until season 3) and Claire Corlett (SB's VA and Singer from Season 4 onward) were just 10 at the start of Season 1.
Madeleine Peters (Scootaloo's VA and Singing Voice (except for two episodes in later seasons)) was 14. at this time.
Yeah... expose her with the same thing youre bullied by with... um... nope this cant be helpful. XD
Sweetie Belles squeaky Voice is so adorable.
The way the CMC tried to set her up was cringe... but the mattress rescued it :D
That is one loooong list...
A Manhattan Branch of the CMC's im all for it!

I agree with you, this mixed-bag of episode was kinda all over-the-place as a kid would be in their age XD
I also don't think either of their actions were justified. - Nonetheless the way how Kids behave and think is often beyond adults comprehension of reason - they are kids and not mature enough to have any longtime foresight of their actions.
This episode was an important one in terms for the targeted audience of Kids to deliver a message of always seek help of your friends and family if you encounter this or similar situations even in case you would be a snitch.
Another thing to note is, that the CMC episodes aren't only about how to get their cutie marks. It is an important part of it, but it's more like an analogy to a symbol towards growing up. Thats what the CMC's are primarily about: Kids growing up with all the problems they encounter along the way.
But i also think the episode should have gone deeper in terms of Babs Seeds insecurity which set up the whole dilemma - it came too short.
Thanks again, it was a great reaction! 💙

I agree. I get they wanted to reveal her troubles at the end but I felt it was obvious that they weren’t the most secure in the beginning. A lot of promise with the message but it didn’t go through.
Though I will say she will be redeemed if she turns out to lead the crusaders in her town if she ever comes back! 🤔

I feel like we could’ve felt more empathy for babs if it had explained more of her personal life and showed what was going on with her bullies in Manehattan like the episode was showing more of the bad than what she was insecure about and showing reasons we should feel for her and relatable stuff, I think they could’ve added a few scenes of her life before she came to visit, but overall pretty decent ep I enjoyed the song it’s a super catchy and fun song, dark subject with an upbeat sound, and I did like how babs stood up for them at the end that was really cool, the fact that it’s true how sometimes people become bullies because of fear of being bullied I just wish they’d shown that more, and the message of always tell an adult or someone you can trust even if you’re scared is a good message so I do give this episode points for certain things!
