luffy might be an idiot but he is very emotionally intelligent. It hits so hard and feels so authentic when he gets serious bc hes always carefree and goofy. one of the best things about his character.

Which is was good to see because the original scene from the anime set the bar super high so I am glad the live action was able to capture that. The one thing I am loving most about your reactions is all the theorizing you have been doing. Oda is very big on drip feeding information, one off scenes or comments or even just the way a certain character looks can reference later events. This of course has lead to a lot of wild theories in the community, most of which have been disproved. Though are still a few off the wall ones that the community is waiting for answers with. So that the live action is making you theorize from even the slightest little detail just shows how well the show runners were able to capture the magic of one piece. Even if they did tone down the antics a bit haha.
