I always start my recordings at 00:00:00 of the show to make timecode syncing much easier and the timecode is included. I watch through any recaps (if any) and intros. It's really funny how you were like "This is when Steven has to recognise that the gems know better" during a scene that is *very* clearly pushing you to understand that the gems are in the wrong with their fear, and the mirror is a conscious being instead of a tool.

It's literally never delved into on any deep scale, but I get the strong feeling as a viewer that he's probably not... a super Registered being on a governmental scale, being half Gem and all. It really IS such a jarring revelation, though! And makes a lot of sense with the kind of person Steven is- no wonder he's so damn carefree, his spirit hasn't been crushed by the monotony and drudgery of public education yet ahah.
