I always start my recordings at 00:00:00 of the show to make timecode syncing much easier and the timecode is included. I watch through any recaps (if any) and intros. I'll fully admit that of all the characters outright cut from the live action, the Usopp Pirates are easily the ones I miss the least. Unlike that other character they teased at the end, but we'll get to him in due time. I'll also fully admit that I generally prefer this arc in the live action over the original, for reasons we'll see later. I don't think the original arc is BAD per se, but I do agree with the general consensus that it's kinda meh compared to what comes before and after.

2023-10-18 20:15:17 +0000 UTCFirst of all... I'm glad to hear that you're doing ok from your therapy, I wish you the best. Talking about the episode and the Syrup Village Arc as a whole... I'm just gonna straight up say it... I think the Live-action made Usopp's character worse... In the sense that much of the reasoning behind him joining the strawhats was cut/butchered. I know that they had to make a lot of changes because of the format but compared to the other 4 members... Usopp from LA had by far the weakest introduction (in my opinion). Part of that has to do with the absence of the 3 kids who accompany him... Who serve as direct foils to his coward attitude. I'll let you discover the other reasons on your own however. Although it's not like I think that here in the anime his introduction it's one the best... On the contrary... Pretty much everyone agrees that Syrup Village is the weakest arc of the East Blue Saga. What I mean is that at least here i don't feel like I missed something when I see Usopp deciding to be part of the Strawhat Crew and seek real adventures on the sea. But perhaps the most painful absence from this arc in the Live-action was this new character that you saw at the end of the episode... But... due to the "Horror-Film-feel" they were going for with it I can kind of understand why they decided to not include him.
