There is indeed an end in sight, although we still don't know how long it will take to get there... Like someone else said here... It depends on how much Oda intends to stretch out the story. The fandom calculates that there are still approximately 300 to 400 chapters/episodes left at the very least.

The story skeleton has been in place, he's basically letting his characters and the world write itself to flesh out and connect the dots.
