Correct! The Marine they hypnotized to claim capture of the Kuro doppelganger was Captain Morgan!

2023-11-02 14:22:10 +0000 UTCI love that flashback with Kuro and it's one of the things I will definitely give the anime version of this arc. I see why the LA had to cut it, but I appreciate it still making that Kuro's prime motivation. (Jango's wanted poster does make a cameo in the LA though, which implies that the character does exist in that version and that backstory probably still happened, just offscreen.)
