I always start my recordings at 00:00:00 of the show to make timecode syncing much easier and the timecode is included. I watch through any recaps (if any) and intros. So to answer your question, yes Ghin is the guy from the live action that shows up and Sanji feeds. That motivation of "anyone who is hungry is a customer" is a big character motivation for Sanji, so they left that in the show and gave Ghin a cameo which a lot of fans were happy about. But Krieg as you mentioned got rendered to more of a "Mihawk showcase" than an actual important character the arc. And yes the guy with the date fighting the pirate, is fullbody. IIRC they even do a close up on his fists to demonstrate that to fans, without having to actually acknowledge him by name.

2023-11-09 22:10:30 +0000 UTCYeah it was a shame they had to remove so much of Gin's content in the LA, despite not doing much he managed to be one the most memorable characters in the Baratie Arc. On the other side it's really not a surprise why the LA team decided that Don Krieg would be the one villain they cut out of the main story, because even if he's said to be the strongest and most fearsome Pirate in the East Blue he's probably the most inconsequential Villain in early One Piece. And you would probably ask why are they saying he is the strongest when someone like Arlong exist and his bounty is even higher than Krieg's? Well that's probably because Krieg up until recently was doing active pirate work (you know like voyaging and pillaging) while Arlong decided to settle in Coco Village 8 years ago and it's paying off one Marine Captian to cover up his misdeeds, so it makes sense why the outside world thinks that there is a new stronger pirate in the East Blue. Another point of interest is Sanji's characterization... Even thou it was only a small taste of it in this episode... Yes, they definetly toned him down in the LA, there he's just a flirty guy but with still a lot of charm, but here in his original form Sanji is a total simp for Beautiful women, his usual cool and stern demeanor completely changes when he sees a pretty gal. He's the classic "Pervy Boy" archetype of Anime. Although unlike other anime Pervy Boys like Master Roshi from Dragon Ball or Meliodas from Seven Deadly Sins... Sanji's "pervyness" is basically just him flipping out and excitingly yell how enraptured he is with the woman he's seeing. His antics fortunately don't go into the harassment territory....................... Most of the time ๐ . But even so... Even with his flaws he's still my favorite member of the Strawhat Pirates and perhaps the most well-written character in all of One Piece.
