2023-11-17 13:01:32 +0000 UTCi know this episode is all about Zoro and Mihawk... but i want you to take a little bit of time to specifically analyze Sanji and his reaction to the fight. During all the fight Sanji kept questioning why Zoro would go to such lenghts just for his ambition, even choosing death over giving up his dream... he's obviously talking about himself and how after he and Zeff got stranded and almost died of starvation he pretty much decided to give up his dream of finding the All Blue, because after Zeff ate his own leg and his pirate crew died.... his time as a pirate came to a close, so the Baratie became his new ambition in life, and because all of that happened Sanji felt that he owed Zeff his complete loyalty and never leave his side. i personally think that watching Zoro go to such extremes for his dreams is what actually inspired him to eventually accept becoming the Chef of the Straw Hat Crew, and even tho he will never admit it (because him and Zoro end up having such animosity between each other xdd) is pretty clear that he deeply admires the Green-haired Swordsman. Sanji has a lot of subtle characterizations and it's partly because of that why i consider him the best written character in all of One Piece.
