Also Mikey, i want to mention this because this is the first time i noticed it.... you can actually spot Pandaman himself when Don's Crew are all cramped in that tiny boat (minute 20:58 of the episode). In case you didn't know... Pandaman is a background character that appears as a hidden easter egg from time to time, he's basically Oda's version of "Where's Waldo".

2023-12-04 16:23:40 +0000 UTCPart of me wonders if the real reason they cut Krieg's role in the live action was so they wouldn't feel obligated to pull off THAT particular finisher. In any case, I agree that Arlong basically served the same role for a greater purpose. Overall, this might just be my favorite arc in East Blue while also ironically having my least favorite villain. Between the introduction of Sanji, Mihawk, and the general setting, this is the one I was most looking forward to rewatching. That said, your reaction to the NEXT arc will certainly be a treat. :P
