I always start my recordings at 00:00:00 of the show to make timecode syncing much easier and the timecode is included. I watch through any recaps (if any) and intros. i love when John DiMaggio makes Jakes's voice sound more gritty and raspy, it reminds me of his performance as Smiling Jack from the videogame Vampire The Masquerade Bloodlines. The City of Thieves is such cool thing in terms of concept... like... the City itself it's built inside the Carcass of a Giant Tortoise, that's some really creative stuff right there. i get what you mean with the Horror-inspired imagery, i really didn't notice it the first few times i watched the show but now it's more than obvious that the staff of the series purposefully made some elements of the show very disturbing.
