HAZBIN HOTEL 1X8 "The Show Must Go On" Full Length Reaction

Well... season 1 ended with a Bang... this first season was definetely very enjoyable but it also had a lot of flaws, specially the pacing, the show could've have benefitted a lot from having more episodes to really flesh out the characters and the setting (i think from 12 to 16 episodes would've been perfect). Just to get it out of the way... The Vee's presence in this episode was minimal but very enjoyable... especially Vox, he was so funny here xddd (Also Velvette with curly hair is something i didn't know i needed). Alastor continues to be an enigma, from the way the talks about seemingly growing attached to the Hotel and it's residents... to the way he sings at the end of the episode about wanting to be free from his contract... and i think you might be right Mikey... Lilith being in Heaven does make me question if she is really the one having him on a leash. And talking of Alastor... his fight with Adam was amazing... very one-sided but amazing nonetheless... if you pay close attention you will notice that Alastor's attacks were doing practically nothing to Adam, only ennoy him, but once Adam got tired of messing around he pretty much defeated Alastor without breaking a sweat. So we can confirm that the most powerful Winner is much stronger than the (seemingly) most powerful Sinner. Perhaps if Alastor had with him an Angelic Weapon he could've stood a better chance. Niffty being the MVP of this episode was so unexpected but so good at the same time, that scene of her stabbing the already dead Exorcists was Gold Comedy. I really liked the Battle Outfits... specially the ones that Charlie, Vaggie and Cherri Bomb wore. A shout out to both Razzle and Dazzle, they were just 2 toys that Lucifer gave life to... to keep Charlie company and help her in anything she needed. Rest in Peace Dazzle... your bravery and loyalty will not be forgotten. Sir Pentious... what a surprise of a Character he turned out to be... way back then... when the Pilot hadn't even come out... i found out about this project thanks to several clips of the Pilot that Vivzie published in her Channel before the full release, this was back in 2018-2019... i remember seeing images of Sir Pentious's character design and think "damn... this guy looks really cool, i bet he's gonna be a badass antagonist in the series". Then the Pilot came out and well... we all already know how he turned out to be xddd.... But seeing him here... now a fully realized character... being an funny, weird but also very wholesome guy... he really warmed up to me, i was so happy and surprised to see that his attempts to flirt with Cherry Bomb managed to pay off at the end (A ship i never thought i would be into). I was so shocked seeing how he "died"... like.... i was already sensing that he was gonna sacrifice himself... but i did not expect how quickly he was desintegrated... it was so unceremonious i almost couldn't believe it. I wish the show had more episode so we could've had more time to know him better and see him grow and redeem himself, because as much as i like him now... the season really didn't gave us much reason to believe he was gonna be sent to Heaven. Im also kinda Sad that this is the last we're gonna see of Adam... like... yes, he was a Massive Jerk but he was sooooooooooo funny, i enjoyed his antics and mannerisms a lot. But oh well... this finale couldn't have gone without a real loss of an important character. Another Shout-out to Lute.... oh boy.... That Exorcist Girl might be total B*tch but goddamn she's badass... that arm-ripping scene was brutal, im looking forward to seeing what role she's gonna play on the show from here on out. Lucifer my boooooy!!! The Head-honcho of Hell itself joins the fight and it was GLORIOUS, i loved the fact that him just toying with Adam pretty much gave us an idea of how much above everyone in else in Hell he is when it comes to power. I also loved that he was constantly transforming into different animals... it re-inforces his Circus theme as well as his playfullness as a Character. That scene of him in his Demon Form carrying Charlie in his Arms who was also on her Demon Form was simply breathtaking. And after the whole fight... Charlie and her people build a new Hazbin Hotel... one much Bigger, Shiny and Glamorous than ever before. Looking forward to see how it looks on the inside. And of course we cannot forget that last scene with Lilith IN HEAVEN, apparently just relaxing in a Beach... seemingly uninterested in all the affairs happening in her own Kingdom. The Plot Thickens even more and i cannot wait to learn how the Queen of Hell fits into the story.

Hoo boy, where to start? First of all, awesome finale. I was amazed that after that whole epic battle, we still had half the episode left. I was like "I'm sorry, what do you MEAN that was only half an episode?! It didn't FEEL like half an episode!" I guess you could say the fast pacing is a downside, but after sitting on that pilot for five years, I honestly kinda like the amount of story progression we're getting now. Especially that we finally got definitive proof that Charlie's system works. I feel that was especially critical to show before the end of the season to stay invested in that goal without any question of if there's even a point to it. That is going to be BIG news for Heaven and Hell both. Speaking of, I do imagine that Sera is probably going to be coming down pretty hard on the Exterminations now. Not just because Charlie was proven right, but also because they've pretty unambiguously made things WORSE for Heaven, not better. The only way Hell was even able to fight back was due to the angels unwittingly arming them with their own weakness. Between that and directly attacking the King of Hell and his daughter, I'd say there's much more danger of an uprising now than ever and she's probably gonna be doing some damage control to avoid all-out war at this point. Lastly, I'm gonna join in on being skeptical that Lilith is really the one holding Alastor's leash. I feel like this might be deliberately misleading us and I'm a little more inclined to believe that it might actually be Eve. Either way though, it's sure to be interesting to get into. Sorry for the text wall. Didn't think I had that much to say, but then I just got going. See you for Season 2 and/or Helluva Boss. XD
