I would like to note that the original pre-airing episode description for this one was something to the effect of "We finally see inside Steven's bathroom." It kinda started a bit of an in-joke in the fandom where the most intensely plot changing episodes had the most (at the time, I bet ep descriptions are way different on streaming now) unassuming descriptions ever, ahah. Something new I noticed on this rewatch was the moment Amethyst and Steven had where Steven asked her if she thought Peridot's leftover foot might be lucky. Well, it seems like it was, in the end! It was lucky in that it served as a peace offering for Steven to enter the bathroom and interact with her a bit more :D Just thought that was kinda cute.

2024-02-10 04:36:17 +0000 UTCTalking about the episode itself... this is the moment where Peridot cemented herself as one of the favorite characters in the fandom, her adorable real form without her limb enhancers combined with her quirky behavior was just too much for everyone to handle xddd. about your little question... Amethyst is the only one of the Crystal Gems that needs to pee... because as you already know she's the only one that enjoys eating and drinking stuff... even if some of the things she eats are not exactly edible xdd, which means that she regularly has to shapeshift her body to have a digestive system in order for her to even be able to eat at all. The explanation above could also be the answer as to how Rose was able to become Pregnant in the first place, she probably had to shapeshift her inner body to simulate Human Female organs in order for her and Greg to do the Thing. This is something that the crew of the show never confirmed or denied but... it's the explanation that makes the most sense.
