I always start my recordings at 00:00:00 of the show to make timecode syncing much easier and the timecode is included. I watch through any recaps (if any) and intros. Ah damn would have been cool if there was a connection to the businessmen. And as good as the Fry Song is, itβs been a nightmare for copyright π

2024-03-02 13:09:22 +0000 UTCYeah... Season 2 is where the show starts to slowly take itself more seriously and also where it starts being a bit more consistent with it's Lore. Although not by much... the first 3 seasons are still primarily episodic shenanigans. We meet Marceline's Dad, his name is Hunson Abadeer... which means that the Vampire Queen's full name is Marceline Abadeer. A clarification because the show doesn't directly state it: The Nightosphere is Adventure Time's Version of Hell, Hunson is a Demon (not death). The fact that Marceline's Dad is a Demon means that she was born as a Demon and then Became a Vampire (going off of the bitting marks on her neck). Yes, i remember that the first time i watched this episode i thought that Hunson looked really similar to the Businessmen who appeared on season 1, but no... they don't a have any relation as far as i can tell. Fun Fact: Marceline's voice actress is Olivia Olson... and Hunson Abadeer's voice actor is Martin Olson... Olivia's real life Dad. I must confess... out of all the outfits that Marceline wears throughout the show this is my favorite. The combination of her incredibly long black hair on a Low Ponytail, the black and red stripes shirt with long sleeves, the ragged jeans and the sandals.... it gives her usual goth/punk vibe but in a very casual an even Tomboy-ish kinda way.... I LOVE IT. And we get the iconic Fry Song, a very silly yet very emotionally compelling piece of music... it's simple... but it conveys a lot with it's simplicity. Another Fun Fact: The Fry Song was composed by Rebecca Sugar, the Creator of Steven Universe! She worked on Adventure Time before Cartoon Network green-lit her own show, in fact... the Great Majority of Adventure Time's songs were composed by Rebecca.
