I always start my recordings at 00:00:00 of the show to make timecode syncing much easier and the timecode is included. I watch through any recaps (if any) and intros. Yeah... SU has a great musical score/soundtrack.... You have to thank Aivi and Surasshu for that, they're some of the best at creating electronic music. Even in serious situations Peridot still manages to be the funniest character xdd. Steven being able to communicate mentally with the Cluster is not something that came out of the blue... we already knew he could create a mental link with others when he managed to communicate with Lapis and Jasper back in season 2 (The episode was Chille Tid). On a different note.... since we're talking about how great Steven is..... it wouldn't hurt to remind everyone that this Steven we're watching is technically not the original Steven. The Steven with whom we started the series... The Original Timeline Steven.... Died back in Season 1, in the episode called "Steven and The Stevens" xddd.

2024-03-07 18:10:55 +0000 UTCYay, the Earth won't be destroyed for now! Leave it to Steven to find a peaceful way to resolve such a deadly situation, but he managed it. The Gem shards were all helping of course, but it boggles my mind that the bubble enveloping ALL of it was clearly Steven's- like m'guy. M'dude. YO. Good heckin' job. Yeah, Steven hyperventilating is super jarring- you can tell that whoever boarded that scene has experience with panic attacks, because it feels very true to life. I also like that the Cluster not wanting to destroy the Earth is narratively justified- it was a while ago, but in the episode where Garnet and Steven first discovered the Gem shard experiments, Garnet realized that these Gem shards were shattered Crystal Gems- which implies that most of the Cluster also probably consists of CGs, who were fighting to SAVE Earth. How scary that must be, to be somewhat aware of yourself but unable to stop what seems inevitable- forming and destroying the very planet you spent hundreds of years fighting to save. Thankfully, they can now rest.
