And now Steven acquires another one of his mother's powers, this time is Float or more specifically... the ability to jump really high as well as controlling the speed of his fall. Rose had already demonstrated this power before... in the episode "A Story For Steven" in Season 1 when Greg went to the Temple for the first time.

As clarification, the "gap" of them being away from Beach City as noted in this ep IS the time they spent at the barn- Steven had his sleeping bag and everything while they were over there, so they made that home base while dealing with the Cluster issue. This episode has so many hilarious jokes- Garnet breaking into a car off screen to steal a phone, slam cut to Steven getting a call from "Kofi"... (damn, poor Kofi doesn't deserve this ahahah) Amethyst almost leaving Steven alone outside floating in the air because she forgot this wasn't just a normal thing he could do... Pearl's sad little "I would've liked a hug :((" Steven's melodramatic "and then I'll DIE" out of nowhere lmao... This is up there with Future Vision back in season 1 for episodes that make me laugh the most, love it.
