I always start my recordings at 00:00:00 of the show to make timecode syncing much easier and the timecode is included. I watch through any recaps (if any) and intros. As dramatic as Luffy getting trapped under the rock is, I admit part of me is like "Dude, just dig around it." Ah, but Luffy will be Luffy. They handle Mr. 5 and Miss Valentine in an interesting way in this arc. Normally, you'll see the villains make an impressive debut only to have the heroes show them up later. But because of power scaling, we see Luffy and Zoro make a complete joke of them back in Whisky Peak, but then show how dangerous they can actually be against the lower-level crew members. (Which again, was interesting for me seeing this arc for the first time since I only had that first appearance to know them by on my original viewing.) You don't see that happen a whole lot and it's always fascinating to me.

2024-03-28 23:28:59 +0000 UTCThe fact that you commented on the wick shape to the hair but took a while to clue in on the candle is hilarious. I am glad you got it in the end though. An interesting thing, that I am sure will be the "Did you know..." comment for the youtube video. Is that Elbaf is just Fable spelled backwards. So its really interesting that Usopp our liar crew mate who is so drawn in by adventure and heroism is captivated and motivated by these giant warrior pirates. It has led to a belief that Usopp was probably heavily inspired by Aesop's Fables.
