The video for the show is blurred and muted because of copyright, and I’m not trying to get in trouble. There is no intro. I always start my recordings at 00:00:00 of the show to make timecode syncing much easier and the timecode is included. I watch through any recaps (if any) and intros. But it always starts at 00:00:00. Must have your own copy to watch along with, since I can't offer that due to copyright laws. Streamer: Max

It's always a delight to see Stevonnie, and this is not only the first time we saw them fight... they also used the Sword and the Shield as one being, probably much like Rose did during the Gem War... which is really cool.

2024-04-26 17:43:33 +0000 UTCWOO, Stevonnie in battle! Those kiddos have some real guts facing Jasper head on, given that Jasper was even a challenge for Garnet to fight back in the season 1 finale. The battle track here (titled "I'll Protect You") is in my absolute #1 spot for favorite OST of the whole show. It's an absolute musical delight with headphones- I can track the entire face-off in my head just based on each little musical line. You got Jasper's heavy synth and beats facing off against Stevonnie's softer strings and piano. Some of the piano trills are like... really high and light pitches, too... ALMOST chiptune-y in nature but not quite. Connie's main theme is a soft piano track, so that's where this comes in... and Steven's main instrument is chiptune, but he's also associated with strings sometimes too- usually when things have to do with his mother. Which does make sense here, because Jasper overtly sees Steven as Rose herself. It's just such a baller track that makes an already hype showdown that much more fun to watch. My favorite little moment of the battle is by far Jasper catching Stevonnie's shield and just looking all confused like "wait what the hell am I supposed to do with this??" like... wow lol. Not the move you expected here, huh? Get dunked. And yeah, watching Amethyst get the mental AND physical beat-down here really hurts. :((
