That is one the best parts of One Piece, while the Straw Hats are the focus, an interesting aspect is that the world moves without them. They are on their adventure but that doesn't mean that other things aren't happening elsewhere. To answer your question. The text in the flashback said "Holyland of Mariejois". Its just the name of the place where that world summit took place. One thing I have learned is that Netflix does a terrible job when it comes to subtitling written text, so don't be afraid to ask if something isn't spelled out. I am glad you enjoyed meeting Chopper and are getting excited for Alabasta. Its one of my favourite arcs and I can't wait to hear your thoughts and feelings on all that unfolds. And the score for this arc is just phenomenal.
