So glad you're enjoying the arc! It was so crazy when Crocodile impaled Luffy on his hook... I still remember seeing that for the first time so many years ago and just being shocked that Luffy could be stopped so easily by this guy. The reveal of Nico Robin saving Luffy too... characters in this story are super complex. The theme of everyone having their own goals and agendas is so strong. The villains are so nuanced and their characters really get explored a lot. Stay tuned for the developments!
