Coming back just to add that this wasn't the day she escaped. It confused me at first too but all of this occurred at least a few years before then. She is noticeably younger and smaller than in season 1 so she is like maybe 7/8 and in season one she is around 11/12 which is how old the rest of the kids were. She accidentally opened a gate here while defeating 001 BUT this isn't the same gate. The gate she accidentally opens later (which she thinks is the first one and the first time doing so because her brain blocked all of these original memories out) happened while she was in the tank and trying to contact Russians and accidentally came in contact with the demogorgon.

Thank you so I was not super far off. I only based my comment on how young she looked in the memory from the lab versus how young she looked when we first saw her trying to steal food from the poor hamburger restaurant with the nice man that the lab people killed.

This was not Eleven's first season. This was years prior to her escaping the lab after she let the demogorgon out. She was like 7 or 8 when she defeated Vecna in the lab she was what 10-11 when she escaped so this is at least 2-3 years before she met Mike.

About the Erica thing, you have to remember that she doesn’t know what the hell is going on at this point. The only thing she knows is that these kids are dying and that her friend Eddie is being accused of killing them. So when Dustin says he doesn’t know who Eddie is and calls him a “freak”, that’s why she reacts that way.

In Cameron’s defense, Nathan’s tone always comes off as condescending whenever Cameron asks something in general. I know Nathan isn’t doing this to be an asshole, but I can understand why Cameron would feel like he’s being embarrassed. Cam may have overreacted, but this has been building up for a while now.
