Also fun fact, Mary J. was drawn to this role because it was so different from any other role she has played and her involvement in the project was conditional in where she insisted on doing most of her stunts and even went out of her way to study martial arts just for this role.

2022-11-10 04:00:06 +0000 UTCI know we don't have a lot of information so far on the Cha Cha and Hazel people (Mary J. Blige and the big guy in the suit) but they are clearly some sort of agents and they have a mission to track down and basically kill Five so obviously they have to have some sort of combat training also who knows if they are even human or not, we have no info on them other than them being sent to kill Five. So either way its not THAT unbelievable for them to be formidable opponents against the UA kids. I do agree that the UA kids really got their asses handed to them but I'm gonna give them SOME benefit of the doubt because Allison hasn't had to use her combat skills in like 13 years and they were going up against most likely skilled assassins. That being said, Diego is still in the whole vigilante crime fighting business and is a skilled fighter with trajectory manipulation powers and Allison could've at least TRIED to rumor them and Luther, while being out of combat for a long time, still has SUPER STRENGTH so yea I do agree they could've done a lot better but I'm guessing maybe the writers wanted to show how out of practice they are and how much they have changed and make them realize they are no longer the heroes they used to be.

2022-11-10 03:44:41 +0000 UTCThe show gets really good the first 3 eps are just setting up the storyline also you have to remember this show is based off of comics and they are trying to fit a LOT of material into just a few seasons. Episode 4 REALLY picks up the story line and starts narrowing it down to the main plot. I have to say though that Season 2 is definitely my favorite but you guys will see why when you get there.
