Gosh, it's still so shocking to me that Lars actually DIES here. I think what’s so effective about this moment is that it serves as a huge, sobering reminder of how damn dangerous these kinds of misadventures can be for someone who’s only human. Steven may be able to tank these kinds of hits and spills, but this makes sense. He’s half-Gem and thus more durable. He even has healing powers. Lars… unfortunately… does not. Just... gah. What a moment. What a scene. There's a little joke line back in season 3 that can count as foreshadowing for this ability of Rose and Steven's- in the episode "Greg the Babysitter," Sour Cream's mother Vidalia tells Greg "and if anything bad happens to my kid, you better pray your space goddess' magic can bring people back from the dead, because I WILL destroy you." Well... good news for Greg...

He tanked an small explosion at point blank range, he slammed his whole body against a rock wall and then his head landed on another rock when he fell. to be honest... not even Steven's Saliva could have saved him, but fortunetely Steven's tears ended up reviving him... at the cost of turning his body completely pink xdd. But hey... let's not forget... Lars was incredibly heroic in this episode, we always knew he had the potential to be good and do good things... and now we can finally see that potential being displayed.

2024-07-20 01:19:27 +0000 UTCHere are the Voice Facts: The Rutile Twins were voiced by Ashly Burch who has a very impressive acting career in both animation and videgames. - She is the voice of Alloy in both Horizon Zero Dawn and Forbidden West. - She's the voice of Tiny Tina in the Borderlands Saga - She's the voice of Molly in the The Ghost and Molly McGee - She voices Mel in The Last of Us Part 2 - She voices Ash in Final Space - She voices Enid in OK KO Let's Be Heroes - She voices Chloe Price in Life is Strange - She voices Ms. Pauling in Team Fortress 2, etc. Rhodonite is voiced by Enuka Okuma and the most i can find about her is the she also voices several characters in the English Dub of the Gundam Series. Padparadscha is of course voiced by Erica Luttrell who is also the voice of Sapphire, which makes sense since Padparadschas are a rare type of Sapphire. Other of her notable roles are Cheetah in several DC medias and Princess Candy in Dave the Barbarian. Fluorite is voiced by Kathleen Fisher, Fluorite is the only role she has had in her voice acting career so far. And talking of the episode itself.... It's really neat seeing other Gems who are not part of the Crystal Gems who have also decided to semi-oppose their species... which is understandable since all of them were cast out by their own sytem. The Rutile Twins are obviously a representation of Siamese Twins in real life. Rhodonite was cast out because she is a fusion of 2 different gems, and in case you didn't notice... her physical features confirm that she is a fusion between a Ruby and a Pearl (that's also why she looks very similar to Garnet). Fluorite is the most interesting case in my opinion... because she is a fusion of 6 Gems, which in turn a lot of fans have assumed that she's meant to represent a Polyamorous relationship (this assumption gains credibility given the fact that she says "Six, maybe more if we find the right gem". But in any case... even if we're not told what gems conform her fusion... we can at least confirm that 2 of their gems are a Pearl and a Sapphire, by their shape and also some of the mannerism that Fluorite displays.

2024-07-20 01:04:32 +0000 UTCI like that this isn’t the first time we heard the term “off color”. In the Zoo episodes Holly Blue Agate called some of the beta gems hideous off colors who should be grateful to Blue diamond for keeping their gems in service
