This is a huge comfort episode for me! I love the dynamic these three have with each other- the playfulness, the banter, but also the genuine care… the way Amethyst especially isn’t afraid to stand up and say “hey we’re getting you out of the house” when she sees that her friend is in stuck in a funk of emotional turmoil and could use a life ring to help get her out. It’s really jarring to have to see Peridot- who’s usually such an upbeat character- in such a depressed state, hhh. I’m so glad she has such lovely friends to be of aid. Also I hate laughing at her in the beginning of the episode, but the bathroom door opening to a depressing instrumental country tune and her laying face down hanging out of the bathtub is unreasonably funny as a mental image. Oh no, poor thing. Additional note: on the official soundtrack release, that song she was listening to is titled “I Miss You (She Took The Barn)” *cries* Wonderful reaction as always, thank you!
