2024-08-07 03:08:04 +0000 UTCIf you recall... in the last episode of season 2 called "Mortal Recoil" Princess Bubblegum was possesed by the spirit of The Lich after Finn defeated him in the previous episode, and then Ice King revealed that he saw the moment she was possessed but didn't say anything about it sooner because he wasn't sure if what he saw was happening for real or not, because of his "Crazy Wizard Eyes". And when he was revealing that information to Finn and Jake we got a quick shot of Ice King's point of view and what he sees on the regular, which looked pretty much the same as everything we see in this episode in Season 4. So... it is fairly possible that this entire episode's plot was crafted based on that single scene with the Ice King on the Season 2 Finale.
