I never noticed that they set up why Ronaldo would be using a telescope at the lighthouse to watch the skies in this episode! When the next episode basically kicks off because of that, I just figured it was Ronaldo doing a very Ronaldo thing. (Yes, this is technically a very minor spoiler, but both it and the next episode after that were posted by the time I posted this)

2024-08-20 20:41:40 +0000 UTCAhah I adore how much of a blast you seemed to be having with this one! You looked just as hyped as Lars when the underground wrestling update came in. I quite like that this chill lil' episode manages to give us all these small character beats and Beach City citizen updates while ALSO maintaining a very solid plot through-line with Dewey showing up in every scene just trying to be useful. I remember the first time I watched this one, I was just seeing him as a funny punchline, but no- you're right, the VA work in one of his later scenes with Steven really DOES make him feel like more of a real, fleshed out person. Like, I also wasn't super expecting to feel bad for this character, but he's just trying his best. I am glad that he ultimately finds a purpose in this town, something that can bring him fulfillment again. And, yeah- the absolute WHIPLASH with realizing that Steven was narrating this letter for real the entire time. So funny, ahahah.
