So Blue and Yellow basically told Pink Diamond: "You begged us and demanded to give you a Colony, even tho we told you that you weren't ready.... and now that we granted your wish... you want to stop it? Nah, finish what you started young lady". Honestly.... a Based Yellow and Blue moment xdd. Im obviously joking, it's a good thing that Pink stood up for earth, but still... they way this was written.... i just can't shake the feeling that all of this was just Pink Diamond throwing a tantrum (Personal opinion of course). Also... im getting a bit tired of saying this xdd but yes..... Pearl's Character is amazing, she was already amazing before and after this reveal she has become even more amazing.

2024-08-27 04:03:57 +0000 UTCPearl's story is kind of sad for me, this episode sorta implies that Rose loved Pearl in the same way Pearl loved Rose, and they were together for thousands of years only for Greg to come into the picture. It puts how she acted in season 1 into perspective.

I really love the way they weave the backstory elements of this episode in with things we already know- it’s a small detail, but the Amethysts that Rose watches emerge are the rest of OUR Amethyst’s squad- they say they’re waiting for “8XM” and that’s ours! Another thing I like is how they tie in stuff about the human Zoo, explaining that it was created as a byproduct of Rose trying to campaign for the protection of Earth’s organics as Pink. And then, of course, there’s a repeat of Garnet’s official introduction to Rose and Pearl- which we saw once from Garnet’s POV, but now, we get to see the context of on their end. It’s just some very nice stuff, really neat to get answers. The music is lovely, too. Great reaction!
