The reason why this arc is always said to be skip, is because for years it wasn't that important, it has it's cool and fun moments, but you could skip it, and you would feel nothing change in the story, but then the lore that was introduce would play out after the 700+ episodes, that later on this is one of the most important arcs of the series because of the lore, but despite that, people choose to say to skip.

Oda originally intended to end the series a lot sooner, so everything he needed to wrap up the story was set up in East Blue, Alabasta and Skypiea. Just keep that in mind going forward.

2024-09-02 15:54:54 +0000 UTCI didn't think it took this long to meet Eneru, probably because I remember the rest of this arc a little better than what's come before. I like his Japanese voice so far. It's of a similar level of grandiosity to his English voice by J. Michael Tatum, who absolutely kills it in this role. As a random aside, there's a video of him talking about ordering from Jack in the Box in-character that has never left my mind years later. I found it again by just looking up "Eneru orders Jack in the Box" and it is a treat. XD
