Gedatsu didn't die (big surprise there xd), he actually propelled himself with his milky dial so far down that he accidentally ended up falling into the Blue Sea and he ended up having his own little adventures (all this was shown in a cover story in the manga). I do recommend you to at least read summaries of the cover stories because they contain some neat (and often hilarious) stories about secondary characters and what they are doing while the StrawHats advance in their journey. In fact... the cover story that was released before Gedatsu's was actually one that follows Ace and what he was doing after he parted ways with Luffy and his Crew on Alabasta. It's a story that involves Ace making new friends and infiltrating a Marine Base in search of information that helps him in his hunt for Blackbeard. It is truly a shame that the anime stopped adapting the Cover Stories, if they had to create "filler" so that the anime wouldn't catch up to the manga.... this was a perfect way to do it.

2024-09-20 23:35:22 +0000 UTCI do indeed love Chopper for merely existing, and also the many other reasons to love him. For one, his fights are always really quirky, interesting, and especially satisfying when you see the little guy come out on top. Speaking of quirky and interesting, I really love how a lot of One Piece characters have these completely 'out there' traits or abilities yet still manage to be genuinely threatening when push comes to shove, Gedatsu being a great example. A shame the anime doesn't adapt it, but he has this whole cover story in the manga where he ends up falling all the way down to the Blue Sea and having his own adventures.
