THE AMAZING WORLD OF GUMBALL 2X13-14 "The Skull/Christmas" Full Length Reaction

Quite unfortunate that Gumball and other amazing CN shows got removed from Max but I'm glad you'll continue the series on Hulu. Clayton's episode! He was another bg character in season 1 that gets fully fleshed out, he had some lines in S1 but nothing made him stand out other than his animation style. I find it ironic that Clayton tried to be unique by lying all the time but already his animation style and shapeshifting powers easily make him one of the most unique characters. As a side note, I didn't know that in the Hulu version, they included the shock collar scene. It was originally edited out due to U.S. censorship when it originally aired but I don't think it was necessary to remove the scene, and It's weird that the censored version of this episode was the one on Max for some reason. funny how Christmas and Halloween episodes are the only episodes in Gumball without 'THE' in the title. The Christmas episode was also really sweet and fun. I totally agree with the statement that episodic shows can just be as fun as shows with major plots. Heck, some of my favorite shows (Steven Universe and O.K K.O Lets Be Heroes!) originally started as episodic but even when they slowly introduced the story later on throughout the show, I not only stuck around for the story but for the fun and goofy episodes, as well as the continual development of its world and characters!

I'm happy that there are people who still share the same sentiment about episodic "random" shows being just as enjoyable and valuable as plot driven shows. I get liking a main storyline more, but I think nowadays people don't appreciate how good writing has to be to keep essentially "stagnant" characters feel fresh and enjoyable and how fun it is to be able to have different scenarios in each episode. Just my personal feelings but I don't think every show has to "grow out" of their comedic nature to become a plot-driven show in order to be considered valuable.
