Added 2024-10-06 22:30:03 +0000 UTCOk so I watched the episode again on my large TV, and yeah I thought the animation looked super off when I first watched the episode, but it’s super noticeable on a second watch. It’s actually quite poor in comparison to episode 1.

Dunno if you've noticed there's actually a connection between this and Steven Universe? The Kindergarten in SU is clearly a reference to Junji Ito's The Engima of Amigara Fault.
