This episode is so sweet, and i love the detail of Pearl shapeshifting. She has never changed her form in the entire show because the last time she did she had to pretend to kill her beloved Diamond, and also the ability to change form is precisely the reason why Rose is gone, without shapeshifting Rose couldn't have made a human womb and therefore.... without it Steven couldn't have been born. So in retrospect it makes total sense why Pearl has never used the ability to shapeshift. But now.... she has moved on, it was a slow process (as it should be) but she finally has the confidence to change form once again and just... have fun with her family.
