A lot of people criticize this Arc for not adding anything to the overall lore of the story and just being the Strawhats goofing around. But i disagree, i think the value that this Arc has on the grand scheme of things is the fact that this is the point where Zoro and Sanji finally started working together, not just supporting the crew as a whole... but actually supporting each other in battle. They still dislike each other of course, but from now on all that bickering they have is gonna have less effect on the things they must do as "the muscles" of the StrawHat Pirates.
