One Piece Channel Update
Added 2025-01-03 16:12:17 +0000 UTCSo within the next week or so I’ll be uploading a video and making a community post on Youtube about the state of One Piece on the channel. I figured I would give you all the heads up before I make it public for everyone.
Basically I’m creating a second channel specifically for One Piece and possibly other anime. The truth is One Piece has seen a drastic dip in viewership and more importantly impressions. Basically Youtube has stopped pushing the show for me on people’s feeds, and I’ve been getting barely over 1k views and even sub 1k recently. And yes I know reactions for Skypeia and G8 seem to not do super well for most channels, but this dip started before those arcs.
So I’m doing this because it seems everyone on Youtube who is there for One Piece are just there for that show and don’t watch the other shows. And the rest of my subs are there for the other shows and don’t watch One Piece. Basically it’s hurting the channel and I think having a channel dedicated to the show that’s 1k+ episodes is a good move. I don’t have the new channel up yet, but I’ll be uploading binge style videos from episode 1 to jump start it and get the channel into the algorithm. There will be around a one month hiatus from uploading One Piece videos on Youtube, but nothing will be changing here on Patreon. I’ll still continue to record, but just won’t be doing edits for a bit until we’re caught up on the new channel. I also need a little taken off my plate for a bit and it’ll allow me to get ahead with some of the other shows and finish them a little faster.
Apologies for the long post, but I want to keep everyone in the loop about what’s happening. I’ll have a link for the new channel soon and will be posting it in a future update soon. Thanks for all your support!

2025-01-06 05:31:53 +0000 UTCYeah, I get it for Skypea, it has it's stigma, for more than a decade it was an arc that was kinda irrelevant to the story, which it was an arc that people would say to skip as well, but Skypea is one of THE most important arcs of the series because of the important lore it gave, but that lore won't make sense after the 700+ episodes, so because of how late it became important, it still has people who would skip it, when YouTubers react to One Piece, it has one of Oda favorite scene in the entire series, something he was happy to include.

2025-01-04 01:04:31 +0000 UTCThis is why every time YouTuber reacts to One Piece, I always try to tell them to skip both G8 and LRLL, because it always causes them problems, as both those arcs are just not that popular, G8 being filler and LRLL being half filler many stop watching the reactions, but there's always those people who convince the YouTubers to react to them and this happens, sure those arcs are fun, but the viewers just want the YouTubers to get right to Water 7 after Skypea, those arcs should either be skipped or watched on their own time.

I hope the fact you're getting into the story now along with the new channel will make the difference 👍🙏 hear the to stay though!

I looked at lots of other channels and compared, and channels smaller than mine are getting way more views than me with G8, but they are anime focused. So I figured it wouldn’t hurt to try this because I love sharing my reactions to this show with everyone on YT

2025-01-03 16:59:14 +0000 UTCI think this is a very good move, im not a Youtuber so i don’t know how all the stuff with the Algorithm works but if you say it’s better this way then that’s fine by me. Plus… getting a whole channel dedicated to One Piece will also put you on the radar of a lot more people in the OP community which will help with the views.

2025-01-03 16:19:48 +0000 UTCThe issue with One piece in a anime format is that it’s longgggg and people normally just want to tune in for the BIG key moments…. But like i said it takes a longgggg time to get to those fan favorite moments I normally watch your other content but I LOVE one piece it’s one of my favorite stories of all time… but its a slog and because of how the series is paced… there is not a lot of content to react to in each episode… just my two cents on why One piece viewership could be down
