Hello Miniature Makers!
We hope some of you have had the chance to start printing the October Distress Signal roller set!
The rollers in this set can make produce than just wall and floor tiles...they can also make some pretty awesome bases. Just grab the appropriate sized base cutter or base-topper cutter from the Roller Toolkit, along with your favorite texture rollers - and get rolling!
This is a great way to get your squad looking top-notch quickly, without sacrificing detail!
Hope you enjoy watching our demonstration of how we made it happen!
DAS brand Air-drying clay works really well for us!

Hello! First, I'll mention that you're totally right about more videos, and we already have plans for many more how-to videos that show the exact processes. For the time being, you can begin by checking out this post, which explains all of the toolkit components a bit more https://www.patreon.com/posts/roller-toolkit-68984978
For bases, you might want to start with
1) A rolling pin
2) 2/4 inch roller handles (these hold the spacers on)
3) 0.5inch spacers (these make sure your clay is even height),
4) Base cutters
5) Base topper cutters.
6) If you plan on combining smaller rollers together, like 2-inch path rollers, you should print 4 connection rods.
If you already have another rolling pin you can use, you could also forgo the Rolling pin, handles & spacers for your first print order! Because bases are small, it's a bit easier to get an even clay thickness manually (without spacers), versus tiles.
Hope that helps
Justin

Hello! I don't have a 3d printer myself, so I plan to buy the models from another person, but I'm a bit lost with what exactly do I need to print :) Can you give me some advice on which parts are essential? I just want to do bases, so cutters for bases I understand, but what do I need Spacers for? Which of the 3 handles do I need? Pressure moderators? Maybe some quick guide in video format would be useful for other patrons also?
