HAA Delay & Previews

Salutations everyone, Noodle Jacuzzi here.

Due to personal reasons, I'll be delaying the release of Human Alteration App v1.0 until next Friday. There's a lot to do and not enough time to do it available for me at the moment. So I'll showing off some work I've already done.

Firstly, here's how the dom route endings will work.

Basically by you choose one of three fates for each character (Lisa and Jean share their endings). Then, you continue, and you get five short scenes separated by ellipses.

For example with Alexis, you will be able to choose from the following endings:

Secretive CEO - Alexis goes back to her business and shatters her own glass ceiling to become the CEO of a fortune 500 company, who happens to be very popular with the male employees due to her rewards and incentives program.

Public fixture - Alexis stays on the streets permanently as a toy to be enjoyed by the modern businessman and hobos alike.

Promising Future in Design - Alexis works with you to understand and reproduce the body and mind-altering aspects of the app, and is excited to show the latest results from the R&D department.


Next, I'd like to show off the progress I made back before the 12th on my next project. First up is the phone:

Clicking the PHONE button will bring up the window. At the start of each day if conditions are right you can get a notification that somebody's messaged you. You can respond to these to create text conversations and get sent pictures, which are saved so you can view them later.

There's a lot of systems in place to allow for branching, nonrepetitive dialogue, and I can even check if you've left a message unread.

After a text convo is fully complete you can gain rewards like money or an increased amount of trust with that character, and then the conversation is removed to avoid clogging up space. I tried saving complete text history, it's a huge pain with no real payoff.


Next check out the player's home:

The options here involve actually clicking on the background image. I'll be adding buttons with text later, and if you have images disabled navigation works the same as in HAA.

If you like this, let me know. If you prefer this style over HAA's style of navigation, I might make the whole game work like this. It isn't easy to implement, but it could be worth the effort.


I'm excited to keep working on projects after I finish v1.0 of HAA, and I'll keep you all updated with more previews of future content tomorrow to make up for the lack of a new version.
