Hentai University v8 Preview

Hi everyone. I'll start by saying I haven't caught Covid-19 and all releases are still on schedule.

I intend to stop putting polls and preview posts behind paywalls. I'm safe where I am and am in a relatively stable financial position. I started making games because I like it, not because I needed an income to live off. I'm lucky enough that I can keep going for at least another year like this. I mainly really want to convey that I am A-OK with donating to me not being the highest priority. If you do have a few dollars to spare, I'm sure there are other creators who desperately need that money to live with all of the insanity going on.

Basically what this means is that in the upcoming months until the world has reached a more stable place, preview posts and content polls will be totally free to view and vote on. 

On an even more down note I'm in close contact with a health worker who suggest the social distancing measure will probably not be over anytime soon. The moment quarantine is lifted the outbreak will hit unmanageable heights; the only way out of this is to hope that the virus dies out completely (extremely unlikely) or to wait for a vaccine. The SARs in 2003 outbreak took 20 months to develop a safe vaccine for public use in 2003. Researchers are already bypassing steps to get to human testing as fast as possible, but it's likely this we'll be battling the outbreak by staying home for at least a year. If you have any signs otherwise I'll come back and edit this post. I would be very grateful to eat my words on this matter. Please, stay safe everyone.

With that, anything I have to say on the matter of the coronavirus is finished. I make escapism porn, so I'll be doing everything in my power to make this place and my games an area where the virus don't have to exist for you. The only exception is if I catch the virus, in which case I'll take a hiatus immediately to recover. If you need support or are struggling the general channel on my patreon has become a peaceful place for just chatting about anything that comes to mind.

With all the insanity thus far I've barely had any time to actually get previews done. The patreon feed has been pretty lackluster. That ends here! The sad-sack is off, happy times now, so here we go:

First off I started with a simple linear character with Tia. She'll have 5 new events leading to her ending. 

At the very least I thought I could fall back on her if the Hamiltons were giving me too much trouble, but that turned out not to be the case.

Now crazy life happenings aren't the only reason I've been slow to do a preview post. It's just that for the majority of the dev time my work looks like this:

And only at the end of the development work do I implement and test everything, and I end up with this:

I don't wanna get banned off patreon so I don't post porn here, so there usually isn't much to preview for the average university release. Typically it's your usual affair. Luckily (unluckily for me) this time the Hamiltons have a larger scope than the usual characters. You'll be trying to win a small competition with Cassandra first, but after that the real duel of the hypnotists begins. With a wave of her hand and a lift of her shirt, Cassandra takes you to a magical place within your own mind.

As you can see she's got a lot of traps in place to try and tempt you into losing focus. 

There's a lot I'd like to do: implement the save system and window that Wild Bill / Master of Puppets created, and fix the persona style to be better optimized for mobile screens are up there, but I think ensuring the Hamiltons don't end on a cliffhanger are the priority for now. I really appreciate your patience on the matter!

Next up we have the long awaited modded characters by the man (probably, I shouldn't assume), the myth, the legend, SlackerSavior. Hentai University's best (and currently only) modder!

He's got two characters with a huuuuuge amount of content between them! You'll be able to finally experience his content online, or offline without the hassle of installing the mod yourself.  As a personal aside I prefer the Lobotomy style or the Persona style, it's just that I need to restart very frequently to test stuff, so usually it's the default style for previews. But I wanted to show you all the extra effort has been put in to give them transparent profiles.

Finally we creep into the amazon jungle, a foreign and secluded land where we hope to catch a glimpse of the elusive Cryptogreek. It's said that they leave their shelter only once a month to release high quality content before retreating into their hermit-crab like shell. If we're careful... What's this?

Content for Anri! Huzzah! Well, a quiet huzzah. We'll scare the crypto if we're too loud.

But for realsies their contribution to v8 will be a little smaller than usual for v8. I'll be focusing on my secret project for the month of April, so crypto will need to deliver a full update's worth of content for next month all alone! Come cheer on crypto in the discord! Or be like slacker and plead for more of that sweet, sweet steph content.
