This part is one of the storylines that has me thinking about it from the very beginning, about how I'll write it and how I'll explain it.
(like...my brain kept reminding me, well, you decided to add that part of her in the series, now, good luck explaining that. lol XD)
And I think this is one of the best times to do it.
While I can always just do a flashback chapter out of nowhere, I think having Rena be the listener would be a better way since she does want to date Elliot and get close to them...
Then, from Elliot's perspective, it makes sense to let her know some things if they're really going to do this.
As for Rena's unfazed reaction, can be explained by her age and knowledge of magic-related stuff.

Considering that this isn't really a secret to the reader, and Elliot would treat this more of a genuine conversation with Rena, this one seems more better~

She accidentally consumed her parent's souls, not sure how young she was but she's a child with powers that she fully doesn't understand how to use em. Might wanna stick around and like help her through the process. 10/10 Rena would make a nice sister in law.
