Just to see what it will do with my characters, and just with the free trials, it can already do these...
I know nothing about this AI tool, and I just went in, threw my art, wrote some prompts, and generated them.... you literally need no skill.
Although yes, the results are not going to be the best all the time, and I used up all my free trial credits just to generate those results that I think it's "passable".
But...
I mean....come on.....You can say it's bad now, but it will only get better.
As an artist, I can agree and say we're so cooked.
But, you can't be genuine and not acknowledge that this is kinda cool...

(Maybe it's the AI, I can't make them stop yapping, they keep talking 90% of the time I generate the images.)

I thought It's going to be, AI trying to crack the current poison, then there's a new poison, then AI will try to develop another system to crack that too. And keep in mind, which means you're going to have to update your old art as well because they already cracked those old versions... I feel like that's going to be a losing battle, so I just take it as a risk for being an online creator...

2025-01-17 04:28:16 +0000 UTCYeah, that's why I use those poison stuff It takes about an hour per image, but recently upgraded my PC, so can do so while doing other stuff If they start to take/feed my most recent stuff, these sites will end screwing stuff. Might not be much, but it's the most I can do to try to protect my stuff... My art is not the best, but better than nothing I guess

2025-01-17 04:06:27 +0000 UTCIndeed, even the sites that tell you they're not using it for AI, while I also check no AI, I just assume they will use it anyway, especially when artist from twitter flee the site because of data harvesting AI...well...the other place they ran to, ALSO do that, so I mean....we're at the point of, there's no place that your art won't be used for AI anymore... even if the site says it's safe "now" in the future, that will change it 100%.

2025-01-17 04:01:53 +0000 UTCI agree with Notme48 on the aspect of having good effect on waves, but mouths and character movements are a bit iffy. TBH, from some months back I've started to use Glaze on my art (even if I tell on dA I don't want it to be used for AI, I can never trust them) so if someone scraps my art, they will be posioning their AI I try to be open to AI as a tool to help with stuff, but yeah... also kind of distrusting overall of the technology and the companies behind it.

My standpoint would be that, closing my eyes and ears and not acknowledging it won't help either. It's like, if I really see this thing as a threat, the more I need to understand it, acknowledge the bad and the good, and face the possible reality that it will bring, even if I don't like it. Haha, whenever it comes to AI, it reminds me of that scene from Demon Slayer, where Tanjiro is on the floor, with his fingers broken, struggling to get up, while the Demon is trying to convince him to join the demon side, and how amazing they are. XDDDDD (You can literally have a dialogue of that between artist and AI "artist". LOL XDDD

Ignore the body motion in Lili+sunglasses or Fiona's vids and only look at the end frames. Maybe a few touch ups to the facial features and its a neat way to develop/play with diffrent poses. The hair movemt is nice. Its the janky body motion that's really the issue. On the sun glasses one, Watching Lili's outlines morph into place is quite odd lol (27 is pretty smooth though

2025-01-17 03:03:10 +0000 UTCLets make it simple; AI for to animate background stuff like waves or leaves = ok AI on characters = unsubscribe* (edit; AI to create complex animations that suck the soul out of the characters) We're here for your character art, not generated stuff. I could probably feed an AI your art and tell it to "draw 1000 Lemons in Jin's style". After convincing it Lemon is not a fruit, I'd probably get a few "acceptable" Lemons. But they wouldn't be the same Lemon. Even if the ai eventually gets the mouths and motion right, they'll never be your characters. Part of bringing characters to life, like in your gifs, is you putting thought and consistency in how they express themselves. Using AI as a tool to complement the art (like the waves in both pieces came out nice), to me thats okay. You've done the hard work of stylizing the water and matching it to the scene. You're just telling the computer to animate it. We're not expecting you to open an animation studio, and if you want to add that kind of flair, that's your artistic choice. (Also completely ignoring the AI art theft, JT Tom already said that, and I agree. I'd avoid AI you can't trust it)

The problem is it's just not regulated and many artists get their style stolen and used by AI art. I'm especially worried about big businesses using AI like they do now in ads. I like your style, and I hope the AI don't steal your art.
