Every month I try to put out a newsletter like this one, updating you all on the state of the channel, Patreon, and the beloved (yes, beloved!) Copaganda series. Thank you to everyone who watched The Politics of Nostalgia & Top Gun: Maverick! It was a bit of a departure for me, not just because I focused on a movie but also just because it ended up being a bigger and more amorphous project than I had envisioned originally. I don’t think it’s my best work, but I’m proud that I took a shot on something more theory based.

Because that video ended up way longer than I had envisioned, I wasn’t able to record either the Midnight Mass vlog or Americans Rewatch podcast in November, but I will have both done by the end of January, once I get a little rest and reboot around the holidays.

I want to apologize as well for not giving enough early access to videos these last 2 months. I signed a sponsorship deal with MUBI for a few videos and wanted to make sure I hit those dates and was a little ambitious on my release schedule. I was able to hit those dates but wasn’t able to get them done early. I’ll be adjusting my scheduling in 2023 to make sure that doesn’t continue to happen.

I’m wrapping up a video on The White Lotus this week which will become public on Saturday which is very exciting! I loved this season and this video is about tying it to the class critiques of the first season.

The Live Mailbag (I’m rebranding to call it a mailbag, it’s just more fun) will be a little different and later this month because I want to include all my lists and end of year stuff. There will be more details next week!

Lastly, I wrote my monthly TV roundup covering some stuff I watched in November.
